Airport Options

Charlottesville–Albemarle Airport (CHO- 20 mins away) is by far the closest airport but is generally a more expensive option than Richmond (RIC- 90 mins away) or Washington Dulles (IAD- 90 mins away). Fly into CHO if possible but if flights are expensive, compare IAD/RIC and rent a car.

Accomodation Options

Ruckersville/Stanardsville itself is small, so you have two options: 1) Stay close Ruckersville/Venue or 2) Stay with more amenities in Charlottesville/Harrisonburg/Staunton areas. Regardless of location, booking sooner rather than later is recommended, particularly for larger groups, since UVA graduation is this weekend. Options close to Ruckersville/Stanardsville (charming + mountains): • Holiday Inn in Ruckersville • Lafayette Inn & Restaurant • Lydia Mountain Lodge & Cabins (cabins / rustic retreat feel) • White Lotus Eco Spa Retreat (unique cabins/suites) • Airbnb.com may have plenty of options as well Options further away but still nearby (~45 min away): • Charlottesville (best overall: lots of hotels + restaurants; also closest airport) • Staunton and Harrisonburg have more chain hotel options

Travel Note

Parking and Transportation

Parking will be available on-site at Westover United Methodist Church. After the ceremony, guests may leave their cars parked and walk across the street to the cocktail hour and reception. Additional overflow parking will be at the reception location across the street (Blossom Ridge Farm). Please note: rideshare services are limited in the Stanardsville/Ruckersville area. Guests staying in Charlottesville may have more reliable access, but we recommend driving or arranging transportation in advance.
