You are more than welcome to stay at other hotels or an Airbnb! Note: If you want to stay near the ceremony and reception venues, search for the Garden District. Also, if you do not have an Airbnb account already, sign up using www.airbnb.com/c/sbuescher to get $40 off your stay!
Flight
New Orleans Airport: MSY Most New Orleans hotels do not offer hotel shuttles, so we recommend you Lyft/Uber/cab to the hotel (~$30-$40). The airport is less than 20 miles from the hotels (~30-40 minutes depending on traffic).
Travel Note
We recommend walking, cabbing, or taking a streetcar rather than renting a car. Before arriving, download the Lyft app (or Uber) so you are ready to go! New Orleans is quite walkable, and since it is a bigger city, available parking is not reliable and/or is expensive. There is also the historic streetcar if you want a more leisurely, fun mode of public transportation ($1.25 in cash paid when you board, exact change required)! A one day Jazzy pass (bus and streetcar) is $3 and a three day pass is $9.
