FAQs

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

We truly don't need any gifts, but if you insist on giving us something, a monetary gift toward our future home would be appreciated!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Our ceremony will begin at 6:30pm. Please be sure to allow enough time to get through the entrance of Glacier National Park and to make your way to our ceremony location.

Question

Where exactly is the ceremony?

Answer

We are getting married in an area known as Ryan's Meadow. It is a relatively private area along the shores of Lake McDonald east of the Apgar Village Inn. Directions to Ryan's Meadow: Drive past the West Glacier entrance station and take a left at the T-intersection in the road. Drive over the bridge for Lake McDonald Creek. Then take the next right onto Grist Road. There is a pull-out almost immediately on the right side of the road. Please park here. The fewer cars the better, so carpooling is highly encouraged. Walk along the road past the brown road closure gate. Turn right down an unpaved road with signs saying "Dowaliby" and "Ryan". Turn right just before the brown building with the green roof and then follow the social trail to the water's edge. Last but not least, enjoy the view!

Question

Do I need a permit to enter Glacier National Park?

Answer

Yes! You will need to purchase a Vehicle Pass in order to enter Glacier National Park. You may purchase your pass online or in-person as you enter the park. The cost of a 7-day pass is $35 and covers the entrance of everyone in the vehicle. You may read more about the pass here: https://www.nps.gov/glac/planyourvisit/fees.htm If you are entering the park between the hours of 6am - 4pm, you will also need a vehicle reservation. The cost for a 3-day vehicle reservation is $2 and can be purchased beginning on March 2nd.

Question

Are you having a reception?

Answer

We will be hosting a welcome dinner on the evening of July 17th in lieu of a traditional reception. Following the ceremony, we will be enjoying some wedding cake and a few group pictures but will then head off with the photographer for pictures around the park. I would highly you take a drive along the Going to the Sun Road, pull over along the way, and take in the sights!

For all the days along the way
