Get to know us!

From Him: The door to my heart was opened upon her arrival. Sunday, March 19, 2017 was the evening I met the love of my life, Samantha Lubrun. It was a highly anticipated fraternity and sorority event. It was my shift to work the door and I welcomed everyone with a smile and a pleasant greeting. Samantha and her friends arrived excited and were very cooperative. Each one of them greeted me with a hug and introduced themselves. When Samantha hugged me, I felt my body was electrified and my heart awakened. At that moment, I knew I couldn’t let her leave without having her contact information. I couldn’t stop looking at her throughout the night. When my door shift was over, I strategically positioned myself to sit next to her. I sparked a conversation with her and had her laughing. After speaking for a few minutes, I took a picture for her on my phone and told her I would text it to her. After confirming with her friend, she gave me her number to send the picture. From that moment on, we never stopped talking throughout the night until she made it home safely. During our first date exactly one week later, March 26, 2017, I knew she was the one. Can’t explain it, but my soul opened up to her. I found myself telling her things I never told anyone prior. It felt like I wanted her, I needed her, to know the whole me. I wanted to be myself with her. Sunday, March 19, 2017, marks the date I met Samantha and I consider myself blessed to have met my soulmate.

From Her: We grew up half a mile away from each other and we never met until the night God wanted us to meet. From that night on, it’s like we knew each other all of our lives. Life has a strange way of making us go through learning experiences that makes us become more appreciative when we met the person we were meant to spend the rest of our lives with.

From Him: I smile every time I think of how Samantha sometimes gives me the back of her hand to kiss. She would say the following, “Kiss my hand peasant!”, with a big smile on her face. I would take her hand, look at her in the eyes and kiss it. She would then abruptly remove her hand from mine and start laughing. I smile everytime I think of the time Samantha surprised me with a birthday/retirement dinner the summer I left my job to work on my business full time. It was so beautiful and unexpected, I cried like a baby. My friends and family were there and it was one of the best moments of my life. I smile every time I think of it, because it reminds me how blessed I am to be loved by her. Samantha loves to eat, just like I do. She gets super excited when I make her breakfast. She has the biggest smile on her face when I wake up in the morning, make her breakfast and arrange the table. Once I say, “Babe breakfast is ready.”, she walks out of the bedroom jolly as can be. She seats at the kitchen table and looks at me with great delight and says, “I love a man that can cook!” I smile every time I think of those moments.

From Her: I was beyond excited... a bit nervous. I had been praying for this moment for so long. When it actually happened I couldn't do anything but smile! My dreams were coming true. My soulmate and best friend was asking me to marry him! In my head I was screaming YES and in my heart I was overjoyed, but due to my nerves all I could do was smile and knod and say “YES”. It is the happiest day of my life so far!
