Maid of Honor
Katie and Sam have known each other for basically their entire lives. Katie lived three doors down from Sam's Nan, and the two were almost inseparable. Shared experiences and navigating high school together created a lifetime of memories. Katie is an amazing cosmetologist and puts in the work behind the chair, too! Life might have taken them in different directions, but at the end of the day the two are the biological sisters they never had.
Best Man
Creg and James have known each other for 16 years. They were in classes together all four years of high school, as well as in band under the direction of the legendary Rod Staggers. James and Creg both share a love of cooking and taking 3 - 5 business days to respond to each other's texts. The Novobilsky clan have taken Creg in as one of their own.
Man of Honor
Grayson and Sam met by working at The Melting Pot together. Sam's older brother, Joe, got her a job Grayson was the first friend she had made there, and the two got close very quickly. Laughter, blood, sweat, and tears and perpetually smelling like garlic and cheese was shared between Grayson & Sam. They can stay on the phone for at least 2 hours, if given the chance. Pop culture references galore between these two and the ultimate concert buddies.
Groomsman
Ben was Creg's first intern at the Pirates before becoming Creg's counterpart with the Green Bay Packers. The two share an affinity for graphic design and social media content and the misfortune of having to work for Terry Rodgers. He's here for the vibes. We've never seen this kid not frown.
Bridesmaid
Amy and Sam both went to Saint Vincent College. Funny enough, they found out via Instagram DMs that they lived right down the street from each other in Maryland. Amy started working at The Melting Pot with Sam. The two moved in with each other when they both moved to Pittsburgh after graduation. Amy got Sam hooked onto Trader Joe's. Amy is one of the toughest people Sam has ever met. Long live 26 Penelope St. and Bud Light Oranges!
Groomsman
James "Jimmy Dots" Dotter and Creg currently work together at the Steelers. You can find these two at their adjoining desks dahn on the South Side cooking in the lab for @Steelers. When they're not cooking like Walter White and Jesse, James and Creg are often at the Thursday previews of the newest Marvel movie. Fun fact: James used to drive a 55 passenger bus filled with the elderly to the casino.
Bridesmaid
Sam and Cleo were roommates for their Junior and Senior years in college. They had a few classes together, but fate brought the two together during the housing lottery going into Junior year. The two navigated the backend of college together. Cleo and her family even let Sam stay at their place for a few months before her place in Pittsburgh was ready to move in. Cleo is also mama to the cutest little girl, Gaia. One of the kindest people Sam has ever met and forever grateful for their friendship!
Groomsman
Carson was Creg's college roommate at Waynesburg University. Creg's still not entirely convinced Carson is a real person. The two are connoisseurs of Yuengling and Cheez-Its. Creg famously told Carson's wife, Natalie, on his college graduation day that "he was her problem now."
Bridesmaid
Maggie and Sam went to Saint Vincent College together, but didn't actually get close until after Sam had graduated. Maggie was in grad school at Arizona State University and Sam was taking a year to save up money to move to Pittsburgh. The two shared memes via Instagram DMs, and the friendship blossomed from there. Maggie is an amazing dog mom to Ollie and excellent taste in internet humor. Maggie is currently in her PhD program at the University of Pittsburgh. She is never not making Sam laugh.
Groomsman
Brandon "Butters" Williams and Creg both went to Waynesburg. Creg was a senior when Brandon was a freshman. Creg took Brandon under his wing and showed him the ropes of the Waynesburg University Department of Communications and the college experience in general. When the two aren't being mistaken for 93.7 The Fan's radio personalities while hanging with their friend and fellow Yellow Jacket, Donny Football, they can be found at Duke's Upper Deck Cafe in Homestead, PA. (This is Sam & Creg's favorite restaurant by the way!) Brandon is flying here from sunny Los Angeles, CA where he is a graphics producer for FOX Sports.
Officiant
Phillip and Sam had also met by working at The Melting Pot together. Sam distinctly remembers Phillip walking up to her brother, Joe, and said "your sister is the only person I like working here." The two have been throwing shade every which way ever since. Phillip recently moved to Pittsburgh from Maryland, and Sam and Creg has been delighted that he has been here and have tried to make the transition as smooth as possible. Phillip comes over every Friday night when RuPaul's Drag Race is on and they all watch together and debrief afterwards. Can't wait for Phillip to "perform" the wedding for us! :)
