The beautiful Florence Cathedral - right in the heart of the city. If you're feeling up for it, you can get tickets to climb the stairs of the Duomo for an amazing view of the city. We recommend buying your tickets early and getting a time slot for early in the morning since there isn't any air conditioning. And there are almost 500 steps to the top, but it's worth it!!
The Ponte Vecchio bridge is one of our favorite spots. It dates back to medieval times, known for its picturesque charm and unique row of shops built along the sides - particularly jewelry and art shops. We also love how lively the bridge becomes around sunset!
The best place to catch a sunset in Florence! You'll get a panoramic view of the city. Bring a sandwich and some wine. You'll find crowds gathering on the steps, live music and the best atmosphere. Definitely get there a little early to grab a good spot to watch the sunset!
A beautiful Renaissance palace in Florence -once home to the powerful Medici family. With its grand architecture, stunning gardens, and vast art collections, it offers a glimpse into the life of Florence’s elite - it's an amazing place to walk through and explore!
One of the most important Italian museums and the most visited, it is also one of the largest and best-known in the world and holds a collection of priceless works, particularly from the period of the Italian Renaissance.
An art museum best known as the home of Michelangelo's sculpture David.
Our favorite sandwich place!! Possibly the best sandwich in the world :)
Our favorite coffee shop in Florence! There are a few locations, but this one is our personal favorite :) you can Google Maps the closest one to you or travel to this one!
We loved the wood-fired, neapolitan style pizza here and highly recommend checking it out! There is typically a long line, but it's definitely worth it. Austin favors the Pesto & Burrata pizza, Samantha loves the classic Margherita.
Florence truly comes alive after sunset, and there's nothing like a nighttime stroll to soak up its magic. We love wandering near the Cathedral, art galleries, and Ponte Vecchio bridge. The streets fill with lively crowds, live music, and street performers.
For a lively night out, begin your evening just across the Ponte Vecchio bridge in the Oltrarno district (south of the Arno river). From there, stroll down Borgo San Frediano and Via Santo Spirito, where you’ll find a vibrant mix of bars, cafes, and restaurants. It’s the ideal street for a lively, local experience! Pro tip: if you want a cigar, make sure to get it early before the Tobacco stores close. Otherwise, there will be a limited selection and you'll have to wait in line helping 2 old Italian guys get it from a machine like we did :)
