We take every visitor to this bridge. It connects downtown Minneapolis to Northeast and hosts amazing views the city and UMN campus. Walk, rent a Nice Ride, or hop on a scooter to enjoy it. Check out the Mill City Farmers Market after your stroll if you are here on Saturday or Sunday morning
We hike here frequently. This park has amazing views of the St. Croix River and hosts some of the biggest elevation gains among most of Minnesota's very flat park trails. (Don't worry - the elevation gain is barely moderate).
This place is great. The falls are easily accessible with a 1-minute walk from where you park. The park is cool too - and there is a restaurant right next to the falls! There are some paths that go down stairs for a closer view of the falls or along the riverside for a short mile.
This restaurant is fantastic. We went here for Nick's birthday and bachelor parties. The cuisine is Portugese/Spanish and hosts delicious pastas. Try their Patas Bravas, or anything on the menu - you can't go wrong! And they give you complimentary buñuelos drizzled in chocolate sauce! A great spot for a nice dinner.
A laid back polish and eastern European deli that is an institution in Minneapolis. They have great sandwiches, soups, and cabbage rolls, among other entrees. Get some deli meat, dessert from the case, or other European novelties while you are there. A great spot for a family lunch.
This place is our winter sanctuary, it's like a jungle inside! Great at any time of year, the zoo hosts a large number of animals and different micro-habitats. The conservatory is packed beautifully with plants from all over the world. A very large and beautiful park surrounds the zoo and conservatory. You could spend a whole day here as a couple, with kids, or in a large group.
The spoon and cherry is an iconic Minneapolis spectacle. Enjoy a stroll through the park while taking in the green space and views of nearby Loring Park (which is also great). The Walker Art Museum is on this complex - check it out if you like modern art.
