Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Sam Brundrett and Maria Bianchi
There is so much to do in this area! Here are some of our recommendations if you choose to arrive early or prolong your stay.

Kingston, NY

Kingston is the biggest little city near the venue - also 20 mins away. Areas we recommend exploring are the Stockade and Rondout. There is great vintage shopping in the Stockade District. Grab coffee at Kingston Bread + Bar, then delicious Neapolitan pizzas and soft-serve ice at Lola. Or take a stroll along the Hudson river in the Rondot. The great thing about downtown Kingston is that it is all very walkable!!

Woodstock, NY

The Hudson Valley is full of cute, creative towns. Woodstock, the inspiration for the music festival, is 20 mins north of the wedding venue and has plenty of quaint restaurants and shops. There is also a great hike nearby to the Woodstock Firetower with gorgeous views of the Hudson.

Hiking

The venue is based in the Catskill Mountains - a state park protected as "forever wild" in New York State Constitution! There are so many great hikes nearby including Wittenburg,, Slide and Panther. Give yourself some time for these if you plan to hike before the wedding on Saturday. For less strenuous strolls, the Ashokan Reservoir (see photo above!), where NYC gets all its great drinking water has miles of trails just minutes from the venue.

The Ashokan Center

477 Beaverkill Road, Olivebridge, NY 12461

The wedding venue itself has lot to offer! Explore trails onsite, swim or canoe in the river, or check out the other activities. On Saturday there will a variety of activities to enjoy: 9:00 AM - Yoga 11:00 AM - Salsa with Maria & Sam 12:00 PM - Lunch
