Enjoy Downtown Lynchburg by taking walks along the river, having ice-cream, coffee, and taking selfies. You are also welcome to spend some time exploring between our ceremony and reception.
Sunflower Fields near the Lynchburg area
Enjoy beautiful sunflower fields in the Lynchburg summer heat.
Liberty Mountain Snowflex Centre
Year round skiing, snowboarding, and tubing! We love to come here to relax at the lodge, have small parties or events, and of course ski! The course is fun to learn on while also having jumps and obstacles for the more advanced. Kids can also enjoy an Olympic level trampoline and bunny slope.
The Local Restaurants
Lynchburg's local restaurants are "to die for". One of our favorite places is Suzaku Cafe on Wards Road.
Horseback Riding

Lynchburg Museum
A lovely museum dedicated to the history of Lynchburg, with free parking and admittance, there is no reason not to go! The famous stairs are also a must see.
D-Day Memorial
The National D-Day memorial sits in nearby Bedford, Virginia. It is a wonderful place to visit and honor those who fought in WW2 and especially during D-Day.
Poplar Forest Golf Course
If you like to golf, this is a wonderful place to do so!
Blue Ridge Mountains
Our first hike was to Sharp-Top and I'd recommend it to anyone who enjoys beautiful views, nature, and exercise.
Thomas Jefferson's Plantation
This is where Thomas Jefferson had his private residency and is a beautiful plantation full of history. Tours are available.
