Brother of the Bride
Where do you live? - Lisle, Illinois How do you know the happy couple? - Let me tell you, Elie was a real mess when I first met her. All day with the screaming and crying and carrying on. And that schmatte she was wearing, don't get me started. But my mother, g-d love her, says we're taking the little nudnik home, and she's going to have the room next to yours. I said, ma, have you gone meshugge? Kansas has so many wonderful pigstys to visit; why do we need one inside the house? Anything else you want to share? - Elie took this picture, so I hope I look good.

Where do you live? - Providence, Rhode Island How do you know the happy couple? - Elie and I met freshman year when she lived across the hall from me in Blackburn dorm. The exact logistics of how we were introduced are a little blurry now, but whoever or whatever brought us together deserves a thank you. Somehow, that one introduction turned into countless nights spent sitting on the floors of our dorm rooms, eating Domino’s pizza, and talking for hours about everything and nothing. What started as neighbors in a freshman dorm became roommates the following year, and eventually the kind of friendship worth traveling across the country for. Anything else you want to share? - So happy for the two of them!

Where do you live? - New York City How do you know the happy couple? - I first met Elie at Beth Shalom Hebrew school. I remember calling her on my drive home from work one day and her telling me about the cute boy she went on a date with and how amazing it was. The first time we all got together was back in KC for lunch or ice cream around a holiday. Anything else you want to share? - When you grow up and live in different cities, it’s really hard to stay in touch with your camp friends.
