What date should I RSVP by?

We ask that you RSVP by May 31, 2024.

What is the dress attire for the wedding?

Answer

Semi-Formal or Dressy Casual. We ask you to please refrain from wearing jeans or yoga leggings.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love your children, but due to space restrictions we cannot accommodate children on our wedding day. We appreciate your understanding.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Check-in to the lodge rooms on-site at Fraser River Lodge is at 2:00pm and the ceremony is at 3pm. Our recommendation is to arrive between 1:30-2:00pm for check-in.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Due to some restrictions with the catering, we will not be able to accommodate special meal requests. If you are do need special foods, the venue does allow for individuals to bring their own meals to the reception.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, parking is available on-site for the ceremony and overnight stays.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Transportation is not needed due to the ceremony and lodge being the same place. If you are not staying on-site, we currently do not have transportation available. We do highly recommend having your own rental car as the lodge is farther away from downtown Vancouver and the Vancouver Airport. There is also ride share available in the area.

How close is the Vancouver International Airport to Downtown Vancouver?

Answer

It is roughly about 10 miles. Usually takes anywhere from 20-30 minutes.

Can I drive in Vancouver, B.C. with only a U.S. license?

Answer

Absolutely! As long as you have a valid U.S. drivers license, you can drive in Canada. **Note: All distance and speed limits are measured in kilometers (km / kph)... You're Google Maps should update automatically.

What is the weather like in Vancouver and the surrounding areas?

Answer

The temperatures in November are usually between 30-40 degrees Fahrenheit. We recommend jackets. There is a chance for possible rain in the area, although we are crossing our fingers it does not happen, please plan accordingly.

What is the easiest way to get to and from the wedding venue?

Answer

We highly recommend renting a vehicle during the wedding time, but ride sharing can be used as well. Keep in mind the venue is 134 kilometers (84 miles) from the airport.

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Dependent on the weather, the ceremony will be outdoors. The reception will be held indoors.

Are there reserved blocks of rooms at one or more hotels?

Answer

At the on-site lodge (Fraser River Lodge), we have 7 rooms available that can sleep up to 3 guests. There are more rooms available after this minimum room count is met. The cost of each room is [INSERT COST]. For post wedding activities, we have a reserved room blocks at [INSERT HOTEL] for [INSERT COST] per room.

What type of food will be served at the wedding?

We'll be serving hors d'oeuvres at cocktail hour followed by a buffet with a selection of chicken or vegetarian options, and various sides that will be served. The food selections will be either American style food or Indian style food.

We are so thankful you will be joining us for this celebration of our love. While gifts are not expected, we have registered for a few items we need for our newlywed home. A link to our wedding registry can be found here [INSERT LINK HERE].

Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for! If you would like to honor us with a gift, you can have it delivered to our home at [INSERT ADDRESS]. A wedding card box will be at our reception.

Great questions! The reception ends at 10:00pm due to noise restrictions in the area.

Will there be a time gap between the wedding ceremony and reception?

Answer

The ceremony will end around 3:30pm and the reception will begin at 6:00pm. There will be a cocktail hour with drinks and hors d'oeuvres in the lodge during that time.

Am I allowed to take photos at your wedding?

Answer

Absolutely! We encourage photos and will have a link for wedding guests to upload their favorite photos to share all the great moments with the wedding couple.

What health and safety measures will you be taking before the wedding?

We ask that everyone takes note of how they feel before traveling. We ask that if you are not feeling your best, that you stay home or wear a mask during the wedding and reception for the health and safety of others attending the wedding.
