Becca and Koki met through mutual acquaintances- Mom and Dad. Though she's taller, she will always be known as Becca's little sister. For those of you who don't know Koki, you will quickly because she's the funniest person in any room. She's been preparing for her role as maid of honor her whole life- she is a theater major after all. Bring a hanky for her speech- whether touching or hilarious, there will be tears either way. And if you are in the market for a good lawyer, ask for her card. She'll be graduating from the University of Missouri Law School in May of 2020.
Alex DuMontier
Best Man
When Alex arrived as the newest member of the family, Sam wasn't too keen on having him around, going as far as to throw out Alex's clothes from his room. Nowadays, Sam and Alex share an enthusiasm for outdoor adventures like scuba diving and hiking. He is the right guy to have on vacation to capture all the Go-Pro moments. He's a good guy that makes Sam want to be a better brother after years of psychological torture. Alex will be graduating in May 2020 from his anesthesia assistant program, so if you find yourself dozing off in conversations with him, don't worry. He has that affect on people.
Emma Bergin-Hosio

Emma and Becca have been friends for over 20 years! They first became friends in elementary school when they were set up on a "blind play-date" by their moms since both of their sisters were in kindergarten together. Emma left for a while to earn her masters degree in Finland (boring), but she's back in the US now. She's living in Seattle balancing her life as a new mom while studying law (you can never know too many lawyers). She somehow manages to stay actively involved in her role as a founding member of the Fondue & Wine Society, an exclusive club that gathers quarterly to discuss current events over fondue, wine and Cards Against Humanity.
Parker DuMontier
Best Man
Parker is Sam's big little brother. When he and Sam aren't strategizing on the best picks for their Fantasy Football team, you can find them kicking back with a Busch Light and Fortnite. Parker is the guy you want at your next get together because he knows how to bring life to a party. Keep an eye out on the dance floor for him! Parker has started a promising career as an industrial engineer in Kansas City- so if he's the one that puts you to sleep it's probably because you have no idea what he's talking about.
Dana Bloom

Becca's best friend since high school. They've known each other since middle school, although Dana always likes to bring up the fact that they were on a soccer team together in fifth grade and Becca doesn't remember it. There is supposedly video evidence but that has yet to be produced. Their favorite pastimes include playing pranks on Koki, painting on henna tattoos, and driving around for hours listening to music. They've worked through their differences with Becca going to KU and Dana going to K-State. Now Dana lives in Richmond, VA, so they don't get see each other often, but they are as close as ever!
Kit Hazel

Kit and Sam share the same devotion to the finer things in life: couches, football and chicken wings. They have pondered together some of life's most complex concepts- like nomads and their way of life. When opportunities for a trip back to Saint Louis comes up, you can bet that Kit will have the best itinerary in place. Kit is nothing if not loyal as a friend and Sam can always depend on him for a laugh. And if YOU have any opinions on nomads, please direct them towards Kit.
Erin Campbell

Becca and Erin were partners in high school chemistry class. They managed to make it through the class, but truth be told, the only chemistry they've ever really been interested in was that between a margarita glass and a basket of chips and salsa. "Fletch", as Becca likes to call her, is always down for a Britney Spears carpool karaoke session or impromptu Beyonce dance off. As a founding member of the Fondue & Wine Society, Erin was gracious enough to sponsor Becca's membership into the society since they're pretty good friends.
Josh Hoeft

Josh is Sam's brother from another mother- for real, they dressed as twins one time in high school. Some of Sam's best memories of Josh are from JV football squad. His house served as the high school football team’s second home. He is easy to laugh with and keeps the humor going. Josh may have extended his knowledge of sports into a career of athletic training but he will always be QB1 in Sam's mind.
Sonya Parashar

Sonya and Becca met in graduate school- yup, the same class where Becca and Sam met- so she saw all the clumsy flirting from the beginning. She and Becca hit it off instantly in graduate school, which is good because they ended up in the same class at KU medical school. Everyone jokingly said you couldn't find one of us without the other close by- not far off actually. Sonya also went into internal medicine so you can often find us babbling on about life in the hospital. That or corgis, Sonya LOVES corgis. Their friendship has been strong from the beginning, but if we're being honest, Sonya's mom's chai lattes are really what made Becca stick around this long.
Matt Kelling

Matt and Sam have been great friends since graduate school and moved onto medical school together at KCUMB. They bonded (maybe competed a little) over their mutual interest in fitness and nutrition. Once a genuinely concerned classmate of theirs approached Becca and asked, "do you ever get to see Sam? I feel like he's always with Matt." She was right to worry. Matt is the instigator of many catchphrases you'll hear among the group like "Let's goooooo!" and "We eatin' now".
Lily Volpert

Becca is lucky enough to not only call Lily her friend, but her cousin. Growing up, Lily was the coolest person that she knew and it was always such a blast hanging out with her when Becca and her sister would visit her in Florida. She introduced them to the finer things in life like Clueless (as if!), MAC cosmetics and DIY candles. She's also the reason that Becca has an overflowing drawer of skincare products after she bought her her first facial mask when she was 13.
Zach Michels

Zach and Sam have been friends since grade school, but when they both ended up in Kansas City, their friendship took off. Loyal to a fault, Zach always has Sam's best interest in mind. He even helped Sam work through the trauma of finding out that Becca is a Jayhawk. To be frank, we could not fit all that we have to say about Zach in this simple paragraph. There are just too many words to describe his many gifts and talents. If you have the time there is a YouTube video that shows this in detail.
Jessica Wochner

Jessica and Becca met in high school Spanish class. You should ask Jessica the story of how they became friends- she loves to tell it. During their college days at KU, you could find them weekly at Henry's Bar in Lawrence, KS getting into deep conversations over Harry Potter. Today the bar may have changed, but Harry Potter is still a frequently discussed topic. Jessica is a member of the coveted Fondue & Wine Society. Becca will always be in debt to Jessica because she's the one that dragged Becca to the bar the night that Sam and Becca started being "Sam and Becca"
Jesse Morris
Groomsman
Jesse is Sam's moral compass. While you might think that guys have hard time sharing, these two have always looked out for each other and been there when the going gets rough. They both lead busy lives miles apart but it only takes one phone call for them to sync back up. Sam was honored to be chosen as Jesse's best man at his wedding and now that it's Sam's turn, he could not imagine his day without Jesse by his side to support him.
Andrew Alfermann

Andrew and Sam enjoy the great outdoors. Prior to their college antics, they went on many great expeditions in southern Missouri that included kayaking, fly fishing, hiking and camping. Even though Andrew is a proud father of two, he manages to find the time to keep Sam in touch with his Washington roots. Sam is looking forward to getting back to those great expedition days and you can bet that Andrew will be right there with him.
Brent Bargen

Brent is a real instigator for good times- you never know where the night may lead with him. As a lover of sports, he and Sam share a passion for all Mizzou athletics which is why they will live together in misery for the rest of their lives. He is currently the manager of the Knights of Columbus Hall in Washington MO, the nucleus of their hometown antics. Sam can always count on Brent to make his trips back home special.
Garrett Tibbets

Another friendship that blossomed in graduate school was Sam and Garrett's. Garrett loves to cook and Sam loves to eat so it was a match made in heaven. If you scroll through their text messages together, you'll find lots of SoundCloud links, keeping each other up to date on the latest music. As a man of culture, Garrett is the go-to person for all the hot spots in town. He's currently doing his surgery residency in Long Island, so don't leave any sharp objects around him.
