Go downtown to Broadway. It's a thing for a reason. Our favorites highlights include Robert's Western World (get the fried bologna and PBR special), Paradise Park, and Tootsies. If you want to go off the beaten path and see some live Blues and karaoke, check out Printer's Alley nearby.
One of the best restaurants in Nashville, and one of our favorite date spots. Italian fare with a twist and great cocktails. Definitely need to make a reservation.
If you only get one meal in Nashville, eat it here. Family style, sit with strangers, all you can eat country cooking in environment that feels like a your Great Aunt's, Great Aunt's dining room. They don't take reservations--check the website or call ahead for that day's menu.
If you want to explore 5 Points, the East Nashville neighborhood in which Alyssa, Nellie, and Sam reside, you could do worse than starting for lunch or brunch at Shep's. The latke benedict and babka french toast are personal favs. Then, walk around the art galleries, bars, and shops around 5 Points and Fatherland St.
This is the bar in which Sam and Alyssa first met and later fell in love in. Good neighborhood and starting point for bar-hopping outside of the downtown Broadway scene.
