FAQs

Question

What do you expect the weather to be like? (I want to plan my party outfit accordingly)

Answer

April in Nashville varies, but we generally expect highs in the low 70s and lows in the 50s. The ceremony and after-party will both take place outside so bring an extra layer if you need!

Question

What do you mean by "funky formal"?

Answer

Our wedding and reception to be held in the grass. So dress for comfort and for class. We don't want a single one of you to find picking clothing stressful or become an expensive affair. Wear what you feel the most beautiful and comfortable in. Is that a tuxedo? A prom dress? Linen slacks? Excessive amounts of glitter? All great! Our loved ones are a diverse, creative, gorgeous group of people and we want you to be your creative gorgeous selves. You can absolutely wear white... the bride wont' be ;). Want more? Our wedding theme is roughly neon jungle meets 70s disco. We welcome you to join the theme if you're into it. Did you ever buy a vintage leopard-print blazer that you've been meaning to wear and that your significicant other has attempted to donate several times? BUST IT OUT.

Question

What if I can't come on Friday or Sunday?

Answer

It's okay! We would love to see you for as much time as possible but also understand that life, flights, and covid are complicated.

Question

Easter and Passover?

Answer

We recognize that this is an important holiday weekend for many. We choose the weekend because it works best for our schedules and our host's schedule. We're not planning to have any specific Passover or Easter activities during the weekend but understand if you chose to celebrate with your friends or family during one of the events.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

Although kids are not invited to the events on Friday and Saturday, we would love to help you find a babsitter. Please reach out to Sam and Alyssa if you're traveling with children so we can help coordinate. We would love to hang out with your kids during our Sunday brunch!

Question

What about COVID?

Answer

We anticipate that the overwhelmingly majority our guests are and will be vaccinated by our wedding date. If you're not vaccinated, please consider getting tested within 48 hours of the event so that we can be as confident as possible that we're keeping everyone safe. This will likely evolve over time as new guidelines and information comes out. Please let Sam or Alyssa know if you have any questions or concerns!

Question

How do I get around Nashville?

Answer

Almost everything in Nashville is a 10-15 minute Lyft/Uber ride away. Don't anticipate using public transportation--Nashville hasn't really figured it out yet. If you want to rent a car, you'll be able to drive to and park at all the events, parking availability may vary by venue. If you don't rent a car, you can take a Lyft or Uber anywhere you need to go. We're still working on transportation for our out of town guests to the wedding either by shuttle or lyft codes. We'll keep you updated!

Question

What is the address of the ceremony?

Answer

Since it is a private residence, we are maintaining the safety of the home owner and not putting the exact address on this website. The address will be on the wedding invitation. For planning purposes the event is located on Berwick Trail in Madison TN.

Question

Is there a hotel block?

Answer

We did not do hotel blocks. Please refer to the travel page.
