Galleria at Pittsburgh Mills
Fun activities like glow in the dark mini golf, Cinemark movie theater, and more located both inside and outside the mall! This is about 15 minutes away from the Quality Inn hotel and within walking distance of the Spring Hill Suites.
Duquesne Incline
Although they require only cash to ride up and down and there is a charge for each ride, there is a breathtaking view at the top!
Grandview Overlook
Once you reach the top of the Duquesne incline, you can exit the building and head left for about a mile or so and come out at the beautiful Mt. Washington Overlook of the city.
Primanti Bros.
This is the original Primanti Bros. and what kind of a person are you if you come to Pittsburgh and don't eat at Primanti Bros. at least once!? and they only accept cash. There is a closer one in Harmer(ville) by Target just off route 28. You may think we're crazy for fries on a sandwich, but don't knock it till you try it!
Market Square
Typically have an ice skating rink open in the winter and places to shop, but wear your walking shoes!
Point State Park
Beautiful up close view of where the "three rivers meet" and lots of great Pittsburgh history with every step you take.
Bob's Sub
This is a college classic with amazing subs! The two original shops are at Clarion University of Pennsylvania and Slippery Rock, but they now have shops much closer! This is just down the street from the Quality Inn.
Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium
Although it might be cold or raining (but hey, who knows what kind of weather we'll be having in Western PA), the Pittsburgh Zoo is a great place to walk around and see lots of different animals from all around the world. My favorite is the polar bear exhibit where you can go underneath them as they swim above you! And don't worry. It says called Pittsburgh Zoo, but no city driving. Just get off the Highland Park Bridge Exit from Route 28 and stay right after the bridge. Free parking.
Praha Hotel
This place has amazing wings! They only take cash but so delicious and worth it! Just across the bridge from the Quality Inn.
