It was the start of summer 2023. Matt had moved to Fulton, MD and Rebecca was living in Baltimore City. They were both swiping away in the land of Hinge (an online dating app), when it was a match! Matt messaged Rebecca first asking if she was into running - if you know Matt, you're probably thinking "of course he did". They talked on and off throughout the summer until Matt found the courage to ask Rebecca on a date. She said yes!....and Matt didn't respond. He thought too much time had passed and couldn't think of a good date spot to meet, and Rebecca was nervous to message him again. Each receiving encouragement from friends, Rebecca followed-up with Matt on his offer and this time....he responded! They had their first date at the Guinness Open Gate Brewery and the rest is history!
