A friendship that was born on the soccer field (and occasionally, on the bench) quickly grew into a brotherhood as these two navigated their 20’s living at home and then as roommates. Over 15 years, they have experienced everything together and continue to provide spiritual guidance to one another as they embark on the next phase of life.

Anna is basically a third Rie family sister. While Anna and Katie can thank their parents for their friendship as they are old medical school friends, their time together at Muhlenberg and as sorority sisters cemented their lifelong bond.

Tom is Katie’s little brother and Mike’s fellow business school buddy with the biggest heart around. As the younger brother of two boisterous older sisters, you can always count on Tom to provide the comic relief.

Taylor and Katie were in rival sororities in college but ended up bonding when they both joined student council and found out they had a lot more in common than they had thought. Katie can always count on Taylor for sound advice over a 5 star Yelp reviewed dinner and Taylor can always count on Katie to help photograph their food.

The two Mikes were placed directly next to one another in their freshman year dorm at the University of Delaware. From the very first day, Mike Li took notice of how excited the other Mike was to be there, and they decided to be friends, quickly growing into brothers. Whether it’s managing business school together or post-graduation challenges, the two Mikes always turn to one another for advice.

While Emily and Katie’s White Plains friend group is what brought them together, their true friendship was able to blossom when they moved in together in FiDi. Though their roommate adventure was cut short due to the pandemic, their love of the Titantic and Love Island will always keep them together.

When Mike and Eddie moved in together back in 2017, they quickly realized how much they had in common, including their short-lived stints at the way-too-intense Math & Science Academy high school. Despite both leaving the program so quickly they never met, they still enjoy math, but much prefer NY Giants football and sophisticated internet humor.

Katie & Lauren (aka Saky) met on their first day of college freshman year. When Lauren decided to move to California after college, Katie and Lauren made a pact that they would go to Coachella every year as a way to stay in touch. Their long-distance friendship continues with slightly less Coachella, but the same amount of love.

Matt and Mike have been friends since the early days of high school. He’s spent so much time with Matt, his parents are accustomed to setting a dinner plate for him, and he and his current wife refer to him as “Uncle Slov.” Their time together, discovering new music and continually visiting each other at college, has played a pivotal role in shaping who Mike is.

Sorority sisters and New York City basement disco dancers, Katie and Lara have had some of the best times together. There is never a party or good restaurant they would ever say no to. Lara has the most infectious positive energy, which Katie is so happy to have by her side on her wedding day.

A friendship that began at Firefly Music Festival in 2013, these two have shared a decade-long partnership in making things happen. Dennis is a planning extraordinaire, the master of fun who perfectly compliments Mike’s enthusiasm. And the adventures have never disappointed.

Though Katie and Amanda met at work, they never actually worked in the same office and still managed to become the closest of friends. When Amanda moved to New York, their friendship grew ever stronger through their adventures in Manhattan and a once in a lifetime trip to Thailand.

Brien was also in Mike’s freshman year dorm, and as a hardcore Boston sports fan, they were immediately pitted against one another during the peak days of the NYC-Boston rivalry. It only took a year of the same debates for them to realize their equally-matched passion was something to admire. From there, a bond was formed and Brien is Mike’s go-to for anything requiring a debate or analysis, sports or otherwise.

Katie's niece and amazing dancer, Grace has been practicing to be a flower girl for over a year. Alice’s mini me is just as meticulous at placing rose petals as her mother once was when she was a flower girl.

Luke Barry, the newest addition to the Barry/Rie family, will be the bride and grooms honorary ring bearer as the rings would provide a choking hazard for the one year old.

Though a little young to join us in person, Mike's adorable niece Gabriella is throwing flowers for the happy couple at home.
