Every Hindu wedding kicks off with a haldi ceremony. Turmeric or Haldi is well known for its health and beauty benefits, but it also represents purity, peace, prosperity, and a happy beginning. A special paste is prepared and then rubbed into the skin of the bride and groom. After the haldi ceremony, the paste is rinsed off. It is believed that haldi has the power to protect the bride and groom from evil spirits, soothe any pre-wedding jitters, and bring prosperity to the newlywed couple. Just like any other Indian ritual, the Haldi ceremony is meant to be celebrated with laughter, joy, and color!

The word “Sangeet “ literally translates to "music". When used in the content of an Indian wedding, it translates to "Music Night" or "Musical party". This musical night is a celebration of the union of not only the couple but the bonding of both families. It is here that both sides (and guests) can cut loose and mingle in a fun environment. Join us for a fun-filled evening of performances, music, and dancing. Cocktails and dinner will be served.
