Take in a concert, enjoy yoga on the rocks, or try your best at running up and down the steps. There are also a bunch of great places to hike around the park.

Joyful Journey Hot Springs Spa

Kevin and Safia visit these hot springs every year for Safia’s birthday. Go for the day, or spend a night in a yurt! Overnight guests get exclusive time in the 3 hot spring tubs, with views of the Great Sand Dunes. Hotel rooms are also available if you’re not into sharing a communal bathroom. It is a bit of a drive, albeit a beautiful one, but there are closer hot springs to Denver that you can find with a simple google search.

This was Safia’s favorite place when she lived in Colorado Springs, especially during the pandemic.

Monarch Casino Resort Spa Black Hawk

Kevin and Safia went here for the all you can eat buffet but they also have one of the best spas in the state (and maybe the country). Just 45 minutes outside of Denver.

Butterfly Pavilion

Safia just learned that you can hold Rosie the Tarantula so Safia will never be stepping foot in this place, but if you're into that sorta thing, Safia would like to know what is wrong with you, weirdo?! But also we hear the butterflies are cool.
