Question

What is the altitude?

Answer

Denver is the mile high city for a reason! We are 5280 feet above sea level. Our venue is in the Rocky Mountains, at an altitude of approximately 8000 feet above sea level.

Question

How do I avoid altitude sickness?

Answer

For many of you coming from sea level, altitude sickness is a very real possibility. Hydrate! Drink at least a gallon of water a day while you are here. Electrolytes are also helpful. Keep in mind that slight elevation gains (such as hiking) require more exertion than you are used to, but this is normal. No need to worry about being out of breath, but if you feel dizzy, nauseous and fatigued, please rest.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we would love for your kids to join us for the wedding weekend, especially at Savanna’s birthday party, and other fun activities throughout the weekend, due to capacity limits at our Colorado venue, we are limiting children at our reception to our immediate family and bridal party. We know that child care is difficult to find, so Safia is happy to put you in touch with the many child protection social workers she works with who babysit on the side so you can vet them yourself. You are also welcome to bring family with you for a fun trip to Denver who can watch your children for a night if that would make you more comfortable. As for New York, kids are absolutely welcome.

Question

Colorado in October? Are you insane? Do I need to wear a winter coat?

Answer

Funny you should ask that because every person here in Colorado who hears were getting married in October says “oh that will be so beautiful, that’s the best time of year”. Colorado weather is weird, I will give you that. But last year it averaged 80 degrees all month except for one random weekend of snow. So yes, pack layers because you never know what could happen. The ceremony and cocktail hour are planned for outdoors (unless there is inclement weather) before the sun goes down so it will likely be warm in the sun. Dinner and dancing will be indoors. Bring a shawl or jacket just in case.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by September 1st, 2024.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony starts promptly at 4pm. There will be parking, however, if you do not feel comfortable driving mountain roads at night, please take advantage of the shuttles which will be leaving by 3:15 from the hotels.
