Maid of Honor
Kendra is Kayla's older sister. When they were younger, living in the same household, they did not always get along which is pretty typical for siblings. Years later, they had the opportunity to live relatively close to one another and that is when their friendship blossomed. Kendra and Kayla found themselves hanging out all the time and getting closer and closer to one another. Fast-forward to now, Kendra and Kayla both live in Indianapolis and hang out whenever they get the chance. They are amazing friends who love to go shopping together, have sleep overs, eat great food and explore the city together. Kayla is so fortunate to call Kendra her sister but more importantly her friend! :)
Best Man
Terry met Gabe aka “Cabe Cones” in middle school while playing football. They had the quarterback-running back connection that could rival the best of them. From there, it was an instant friendship that included a lot of video games and poker games in Gabe's parent's basement. They were roommates in college and 12 years later they are still the best of friends who are there for each other every step of the way. Not a week goes by that Terry, Gabe and Trey don’t swap texts in their group chat which is pretty impressive. Gabe is one of the best advice givers and hands down one of the funniest people on the planet. Terry is glad to call Dr. Gabe Jones one of his best men.
Matron of Honor
Paige and Kayla have been best friends since sophomore year of college where they both attended Saint Norbert College in De Pere, WI. Even though they have lived miles away from one another for many of those years, they have continued to keep in touch and be the best of friends. Paige is truly Kayla's rock and she can always count of her to tell it like it is, have a room in tears from laughter, send totally inappropriate yet hilarious items in the mail, tell ridiculously too long of stories and be the most thoughtful and caring person she knows.
Best Man
Terry and Trey have been best friends for the better part of 30 years. Literally since they were about 3 years old. They’ve come a long way from getting yelled at by their parents for talking and making paper figures out of the programs in church. Not a week goes by the Trey and Terry don’t spend an hour or more on FaceTime catching up or in a group chat with Gabe exchanging texts. Trey is the other person Terry goes to for advice or for a good laugh. The funniest thing is Trey thinking he can beat Terry at golf (keep dreaming buddy). The stories of Terry and Trey are never ending, but Terry can’t imagine life without Trey and can’t imagine this momentous occasion without Trey standing by his side.
Bridesmaid
Kayla met Emily in Indianapolis when starting her job at Riley Hospital for Children. Emily in an Art Therapist that covered the floor Kayla worked on. After forcing herself on Emily, she finally gave in and they have been best friends ever since. Kayla probably wouldn't still be in Indianapolis if it wasn't for Emily and her Friendship. Emily is an amazing listener (one of her many great qualities of being a mental health counselor), gives amazing advice, pushes Kayla outside of her comfort zone and is truly an amazing friend. Lets just say Kayla is so lucky to have her by her side through it all.
Groomsman
Terry met James while working together at Buffalo Wild Wings. They’ve been friends ever since which is going on 6 years. James and Terry’s favorite pastimes are singing karaoke, playing golden tee virtual golf and playing music on the jukebox at Applebee’s and acting like it’s a karaoke night. Every time they get together it’s like they haven’t missed a beat.
Bridesmaid
Kellie and Kayla met through working at Riley Hospital for Children where they both work as Child life Specialists. Some would say we are, "tight" and if I didn't hate the saying, I would have to label her as my work wife. Kellie is THE best storyteller ever, makes working weekends bearable and turns lunchtime into my favorite part of each day. I'm so flippen lucky I get to work with her and l'm so excited for her to be apart of our big day!
Groomsman
Terry and Eric became friends while working together at Buffalo Wild Wings. Eric was the manager and Terry was a bartender and they quickly developed a friendship. There’s no shortage of laughs every time they get together on the golf course or just hanging out and grabbing some beers. Eric's infectious laugh will surely brighten up all of the wedding festivities and i am so glad to have him as one of my groomsmen.
Bridesmaid
Kayla also met Meredith at Riley Hospital for Children. Meredith is one of the Child Life Specialists in the Emergency Department. Even though they don't always get to see each other during the day due to Meredith's unpredictable schedule and working in two different units, that hasn't stopped them from building a strong friendship both inside and outside of work. Whether in staff meetings where they can be found giving hand hugs and being dorks together, or on the sandy beaches in Florida babysitting over multiple spring breaks, they always have an amazing time together filled with lots of laughter and fun.
Groomsman
Justin and Terry have been friends for as long as I can remember. In fact as far back as playing pee wee soccer with my dad as the coach (we have adorable pictures to prove it). While growing up we spent a lot of time hanging out in Justin's parent’s basement having sleepovers and causing all kinds of ruckus. Throughout our college years, you could usually find us getting together bar hopping in downtown Lexington or Louisville (not getting into any trouble 😉). I am extremely lucky to call Justin my friend and to have him as a groomsman.
Bridesmaid
Kat and Kayla also met while working at Riley Hospital for Children both working on 7W where Kat is the social worker and Kayla is the Child Life Specialist. They both share a passion for animals and volunteer together at Indianapolis Animal Care Services where they are dog walkers and lead event volunteers. Kat has a heart of gold, is a great listener... most of the time and is truly an amazing friend and I'm so lucky to have her in my life.
Groomsman
Terry and Louie met in a very strange way. While working together at a restaurant during college, they made inappropriate movie quotes to one another and soon after became friends. They spent a lot of time playing basketball because Louie insisted his game was like The late great Kobe Bryant (we all know that was a lie 😏). Over the years we’ve continued to remain close and I was more than happy to be a groomsman in Louie’s wedding. Now I’m extremely happy to call Louie my friend and have him stand up with me at my wedding.
Honor Attendant
Going with the theme... Kayla also met Katie while working at Riley Hospital for Children. I guess that's what happens when you are a transplant. Katie is a social worker who worked on Kayla's unit and even though Katie is an old lady they hit it off instantly. Together their days were filled with impromptu rap sessions, cheer guild runs and laughing until they cried.... lets just say it's probably a good thing she doesn't work at Riley anymore because I'm not sure how much work was actually getting accomplished. Katie has now moved onto bigger and better things but that has not stopped them from continuing to be besties! Now their time together usually involves going to brunch and then a psychic fair but either way its fun times all around!
Flower Girl
Ryleigh is Terry’s beautiful niece and we’re so excited for her to be celebrating our special day with us. She is 5 years old and already a track star, following in the Metcalf name. Watch out 2036 Olympics, we’ve got a gold medalist on our hands. We love Ryleigh to pieces and she will absolutely be the star of the aisle.
Flower Girl
Charlie is also one of Terry’s beautiful nieces who will share the flower girl responsibility. Charlie will be 4 this November and is already a cheerleading superstar. We can’t wait for her to throw flowers down the aisle and be a part of our special day.
