ANSWERS TO YOUR BURNING QUESTIONS
Question

Can I bring a date?Can I bring a date?

Answer

No! We usually say "the more the merrier", but unfortunately are working with a strict venue capacity limit and only guests who have received a formal invitation may attend the celebrations. All invited guests are included by name for RSVPs. Please contact the couple directly with any questions or concerns, and thank you for your understanding!

Question

Where should I stay?Where should I stay?

Answer

We have reserved room blocks at a few hotels for anyone interested, but as the celebrations will span much of New Orleans we also encourage guests to make the trip their own! Whether you're all in on the French Quarter experience, casual strolls down Magazine Street, the colorful Creole cottages and soul food of Tremé, or are simply here for the scheduled events, New Orleans is one of the most unique locales this country has to offer. Please visit the "Travel" tab to view the hotel room blocks we've reserved, and a guide to the various neighborhoods of New Orleans. We encourage guests to take advantage of the local Airbnb options as well! Suggested activities are also provided in the "Let's Get Busy" tab. **NOTE: Guests interested in an Airbnb should start looking NOW and plan to book ASAP as they go quickly!**

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding? Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Yes! Friday evening we will be hosting a Cajun Boil rehearsal dinner, and all invited guests are welcome to attend. Come enjoy some classic New Orleans flavors! There will also be an informal Farewell Picnic Potluck at City Park on Sunday, and anyone hoping to say goodbye to the couple is encouraged to come. Visit the "Itinerary" tab to view details on all of the wedding weekend happenings, and be sure to RSVP for any you plan to attend! Additional activity suggestions to help you plan your trip are available in the "Let's Get Busy" tab.

Question

So it's New Orleans...will there be a French Quarter outing? So it's New Orleans...will there be a French Quarter outing?

Answer

Sadie and Stefan request guests indulge in Bourbon Street earlier in the week to ensure spirits are high at the wedding on Saturday! The couple will be hitting the town on Thursday for anyone interested in joining in on a classic New Orleans night out. We'll start in the French Quarter and ultimately make our way up Bourbon towards Frenchman Street to explore the nighttime Frenchman Art Bazaar and live music offerings. Debauchery will ensue! Guests are encouraged to explore New Orleans in their own time, and if it's your first visit we highly recommend extending your trip to take advantage of all the unique offerings the city has to share. For our out-of-towner guests, there's no better hangover cure than a cajun boil, so we enthusiastically endorse planning your own classic French Quarter night out for Thursday as well!

Question

Okay, but what about the afterparty y'all??Okay, but what about the afterparty y'all??

Answer

While there is not a scheduled afterparty for Saturday, any guests interested in keeping the celebrations going are encouraged to gather on Frenchman Street after the wedding festivities! Between the nighttime Art Bazaar and ample live music, there's plenty of fun to be had. Plan to rendezvous at the Art Bazaar at 11:30PM on Saturday to keep the party going!

Question

Is there a dress code?Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes! The couple kindly requests guests dress in their favorite formal finery for the Ceremony & Reception, though casual clothes are welcome at both the Cajun Boil and Farewell Picnic Potluck. The wedding party will be wearing purples and blues, do with that what you will! Sadie and Stefan will absolutely be sporting their heinously hungover best on Sunday, and encourage guests to also join them in City Park in their finest hangover fits for a little extra fun! Let's get silly, y'all.

Question

Can I give a toast?Can I give a toast?

Answer

Yes! Those interested in saying a little something should plan to do so at the Cajun Boil Rehearsal Dinner on Friday, where we will have an open mic available. We only ask that you please keep it brief as there’s a lot of us!

Question

Are you registered? Where? Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Yes! Please visit the "Registry" tab for gift suggestions. As Sadie and Stefan have been living together for so long already, the couple kindly requests that with the exception of sentimental and/or personal gifts/cards guests adhere to the registry.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

The wedding reception on Saturday will NOT feature a seated dinner. Instead we will be offering made-to-order passed hors d'oeuvres, courtesy of the Rue Chow Food Truck, and they are happy to accommodate dietary restrictions upon request. Almost everything on the menu can be made vegetarian friendly! We promise no one will leave hungry. The Cajun Boil on Friday will also be self-serve, and the Farewell Picnic Potluck on Sunday will be as casual as it sounds, with everyone welcome to bring food to share. As such we are not collecting individual dietary restrictions, but if you have any specific concerns or unique dietary requirements please reach out to the couple directly ASAP (this includes gluten allergies)!
