Nick and Sadie's favorite place to stop on the way to the island for cider belly donuts, pies, corn and flowers.

Frog Rock Tavern

Grab a drink and some good pub food. This spot has a great back porch. Nick and Sadie love to paddle here from the island for a vacation treat.

Twin Barns Brewing Company

Grab some good beers and food a little outside of town. This place frequently hosts live music.

Waukewan Golf Club

A wine and cheese shop on Main Street. Has wine tastings on Fridays from 3-6 pm. They do to-go baskets with wine, meats, cheeses and crackers that you can take back and enjoy at your room or Airbnb.

George's Diner

This perfect greasy spoon breakfast spot was a favorite of Sadie and her grandma's back in the day. Mom-&-pop mainstay offering American eats from morning to night, along with house-made desserts.

The Meredith Sculpture Walk

Visit the website for a map, walk through Meredith and along the lake enjoying some of the local artwork and snapping some pictures.

Set back in time this was Sadie and her sister Ivy's favorite place to stop on the way to camp for candy, sour pickles, moccasins and toys.

Mount Major

See panoramic views of the lakes region. Head out on this 4.60 mile, loop trail near Alton Bay, New Hampshire. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 2 h 42 min to complete.

Rattlesnake Mountain

Check out this 2.30 mile, loop trail near Rumney, New Hampshire. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 1 h 34 min to complete.

Mount Israel

Head out on this 3.80 mile, out and back trail near Center Sandwich, New Hampshire. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 2 h 43 min to complete.

Squam Lakes Natural Science Center

Arcade where Sadie and Ivy spent many a rainy island vacation days as little kids. A great spot to entertain your kids.

Lots of different things to do from the beach, drive in, shops etc.
