Time to Celebrate!

Sadie and Nick had met a few times before at different parties as friends of friends and didn’t think much of it. Then one night in a down pour, Spencer invited Sadie and her friend Beth bowling at Bayside. Nick was there with Spencer and Seth, playing the role of DD. They spent most of the night talking, Nick invited Sadie out in his boat on Sebago a week later with friends. Sadie left for a week of camping and thought it would be interesting to see where things with Nick might go. After driving most of Jordan Bay in choppy swells to pick her up, she figured Nick might like her. He invited her out to pizza at Portland Pie, with wet hair and bathing suits fresh from the lake and the rest, as they say, is history!

Nick suggested going to the island before 'ice-out.' With a beautiful 50 degree February day in the forecast, it sounded like a fun Saturday activity. Nick picked the spot by the beach where they first said 'I love you', eight years before, bent down on one knee with Chief by his side and asked Sadie to be his adventure buddy and his wife for life. Sadie, of course, emphatically said yes!
