Emily and Sabrina worked together at the same after school care program in Baton Rouge. She led the Bible study Sabrina was a part of in college, which set her on the path to becoming a missionary. Anna and Sabrina met at Christ the King, LSU's Catholic Student Center, at the end of Sabrina's time in Baton Rouge. Their friendship blossomed around the LSU lakes. The timing was definitely providential. Ask Anna about her road trip snack of choice when she went to Stillwater to visit Sabrina.

Lexi and Sabrina have known each other since middle school. They also went backpacking in Portugal together one summer. They have maintained their friendship across many countries and states. What they ate in Portugal was laughable, you should mention that you want to hear more about it to Lexi.

Sammy G and Duke have been best buds since their days in college at SMU. They later became roommates their Senior year and the friendship continued through their time in FOCUS. Ask Sam about the Thanksgiving of 2020...

Daniel has been a part of the groom’s life since their college days and they have kept up their friendship and mutual appreciation for quality bourbon and theological discussions through Daniel’s time as a teacher in Texas and Duke’s years as a FOCUS missionary.
Sam Owens

Sam and Duke met Duke's second year in Troy and they quickly became friends due to their love of engineering and love of the Lord. While on a fishing trip with some guys in Wisconsin both Sam Owens and Sam Giles were paired by Duke in a boat together and became know as Sam^2. Duke is excited to have him by his side at the altar.
Christian Long

Christian entered Duke’s life as a student at Troy University. The two became close as Christian was in Duke’s Bible study and in formation with Duke. When Christian graduated he joined FOCUS, being assigned as a missionary in Georgia, Duke and Christian still get to see one another during the semester.
Nolan Hill

Duke got to know Nolan while Nolan was a FOCUS missionary at SMU after Duke graduated and came to visit on breaks during his time as a missionary. Even when Nolan left staff with FOCUS they kept in touch and since Nolan and Sabrina both live in Oklahoma, it has been great seeing Nolan and his wife Lily in OK.
Matthew Barbier

Matthew or Barbier as he is better called by Duke has known Duke since they were both first year FOCUS missionaries together at Troy. The relatability of being in the same season of life at the same time allowed the two to lean on each other and become great friends. Duke has kept up with Matthew, his wife Molly, and their young son Peter for whom they endearingly refer to Duke as ‘Uncle Dukey.’
