Things To Do in Mexico City

We are so glad you have come to celebrate with us in Mexico! Here are some places in the city ranging from very near the hotel to some of our favorite places in CDMX (Mexico City) that we wanted to share with you.
Chapultepec Castle

Chapultepec Castle

Ciudad de México, CDMX 11100, Mexico
, +52 55 7601 9811

The castle is busier on the weekends, so there may be a line. There is a fee to get in and you may not bring water or drinks onto the groups, but it is beautiful, worth a first visit, and situated on a hill in a park with a great view.

El Moro

El Moro

Mariano Escobedo 479, Polanco, Ciudad de México, Mexico

Open Mondays through Sunday from 8am to 11pm. This popular hot chocolate and churro shop features six different types of hot chocolate and also sells milkshakes and coffee. Sabrina recommends ordering churros with chocolate dipping sauce and the "chocolate Mexicano caliente" which is more rich and bitter.

(Parroquia) San Augustine Catholic Church

(Parroquia) San Augustine Catholic Church

Av. Horacio 921, Polanco, Polanco III Secc, Miguel Hidalgo, Ciudad de México, CDMX 11550, Mexico

This is Duke and Sabrina's "home" parish when they visit Sabrina's family in Mexico City. San Augustine is also where the couple took engagement photos and where Sabrina prayed for Duke well before they started dating. The parish does not have Mass on Mondays but does have Mass Tuesday through Friday at 8am, 12pm, and 7pm. There is also Mass on Saturday at 12pm and vigil Mass at 7pm. Sunday Masses are at 8am, 10am, 11am (with children), 12pm, 1pm, 2pm, 6pm, 7pm, and 8pm.

Bellas Artes

Bellas Artes

Bellas Artes, Ciudad de México, CDMX 15700, Mexico

Bellas Artes is the major Fine Arts institution for the whole country and has been for decades. It houses events year round, but it typically open to walk around and admire the architecture.

Mexico City Metropolitan Cathedral

Mexico City Metropolitan Cathedral

S/N Plaza de la Constitución, Ciudad de México, CDMX 06000, Mexico

This is the largest cathedral in Latin American, built by the Spanyards. The cathedral is open Monday to Sunday from 8am to 6pm. Daily Friday and Saturday masses are at 9:30am, 12pm, and 1pm. Sunday Masses: 8:00am, 9:30am, 12am, 1:30pm, 4pm, 5pm Confession (Spanish): Monday to Sunday 9:30am, 12pm, and 1pm.

Porfirio's Masaryk | Restaurante de comida mexicana

Porfirio's Masaryk | Restaurante de comida mexicana

214 Avenida Presidente Masaryk, Ciudad de México, CDMX 11560, Mexico

This is Duke and Sabrina's favorite and most nostalgic place to go eat. After going to eat there once for a special date the summer they started dating, the trend began. They have shared lots of great moments here and like to have dinner at Porfirio's when they get a chance each visit to CDMX. Loud music at restaurants is pretty common in Mexico City, we recommend you sit on the covered patio for it to be a little more quiet. Duke's tried and true meal here are the Molenadas.

Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe

Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe

Mexico City, CDMX, Mexico

A must see sight if you're in Mexico City. The Masses on Sundays in the Basillica happen typically every hour from 6am until 8pm (except 8am - Laudes). Masses happen on Monday through Saturday every hour (except 8am) from 7am until 8pm.

Ojo de Água Restaurant (Chain - Various Locations)

Ojo de Água is a great option for fresh juices, salad, sandwiches, and some main dishes. It is one of Duke and Sabrina’s favorites - they frequent the one in Polanco.
