We were introduced by mutual friends. Rylee’s friend and coworker, Sarah, is married to Griffin’s friend and coworker, Kyle. Rylee was at work one day when Sarah began to speak very highly about her friend. The next thing Rylee knew, she was shaking Griffin’s hand at church. After the service, the Mooney’s invited the two to a brewery for lunch. Rylee was swept off her feet when Griffin brought her an extra fork to share his pulled pork mac and cheese with him.
Griffin and Rylee began as friends. Griffin proved his qualities by bringing Rylee food when she was sick, listening to her rants, and taking her out with her friends. The two continued to spend time together and hang out throughout the spring and summer when before visiting her friends in Dallas to go country dancing, Griffin asked her to be his girlfriend.
On Saturday, January 25th 2025, Griffin planned a date for him and Rylee to take photos at San Gabriel Park in Georgetown to "fill out a new photo album" they were gifted for Christmas. After lots of suspicions followed by gaslighting from Griffin, friends, and family, Rylee had no idea of Griffin's plans. Once at the park, Griffin stopped at a bridge and said “Hey, you know I love you more than anything right?” And he got down on one knee and pulled out the most beautiful ring Rylee had ever seen. She screamed and shook her arms like the chihuahua she is and said “yes, of course!” Being the smart man he is, Griffin hired photographers to capture photos and videos of the event. After the park, Griffin took Rylee to brunch and Goodwill to celebrate. That afternoon he surprised Rylee even more with an engagement party at a wine bar with friends and family. Guests can preview these engagement photos in the Gallery on our website.
