We met in 2015 on a snowy night at a bar on the Yale campus. Brown was playing Yale and a blizzard forced the Bears to spend the night in New Haven. From the moment we met, we knew we had to see each other again despite the distance. For the next year, we took the Metra back and forth between New Haven and Providence until Yen graduated and moved to San Francisco. When Ryan took his first job in Chicago, we knew we had to make it work. We reunited for good in 2017, and now we call Chicago home. We’ve built an amazing life together including a home, our dog Molly, great friends, and a loving family.
