FAQs

Question

What do I need to know before camping in Glacier National Park?

Answer

Excellent question, and I am glad you asked! A majority of Glacier's campgrounds require a reservation. Some sites are available to reserve a few days in advance and some are available a few months in advance. Typically, campsite reservations become available six months in advance of the date you'd like to book (ex: if you want to camp on 06/30/26, reservations will likely open on 01/30/26). All sites must be reserved ahead of time on Recreation.gov. It is highly recommended to book a site prior to arriving at the park. Cell service is unreliable and inconsistent throughout Glacier. Question

What is required prior to visiting Glacier National Park?

Answer

For Summer 2026, Glacier National Park is dropping its timed vehicle reservation system for the Going-to-the-Sun Road, meaning you won't need to pre-book a slot, but you still need a valid park entrance pass and may face temporary road closures or shuttle reservations for Logan Pass due to new congestion management, including parking limits. New for summer 2026: New Congestion Tactics: Expect temporary closures if areas get too full, and new shuttle reservation system for Logan Pass, where visitors might need a shuttle spot for longer stays or to hike the Highline Trail. Parking Limits: A three-hour parking limit at busy spots like Logan Pass aims to increase turnover. What to Do: Plan for Shuttles: Look into the new shuttle reservation system for Logan Pass, as this may become essential. Stay Flexible: Be prepared for potential temporary road closures if congestion occurs. Official Source: Check the official Glacier National Park website for the most current updates as the season approaches.

Question

What is the Welcome Party and who is invited?

Answer

Everyone is invited (guests and children)! The Welcome Party will be a laid back event (held at the wedding venue) for guests to mingle and to enable Ryan and I a little more time to visit with as many of you as we can. There will be yard games, light apps, and drinks.

Question

Are children invited to the wedding?

Answer

Absolutely, and we anticipate there will be a lot of them!
