Coopers Rock State Forest
Located 3.9 miles from Lakeview Resort, Coopers Rock State Forest is named for Coopers Rock, a series of sandstone cliffs above the Cheat River Gorge. The forest holds many historical sites, hiking trails and recreational opportunities amongst the enormous boulders and cliffs. The site in the photo is where Kori + Ryan got engaged!
Tropics
Tropics is one of our favorite restaurants outside of the resort! It has a tropical feel and Hawaiian-inspired cuisine. YUM!
The Whippoorwill Bar and Grill at Edgewater Marina
Just a short 5-minute drive from Lakeview. The Whipp is a causal restaurant with a cool atmosphere. Kori + Ryan like to enjoy lunch here after crusin' around the lake.
Morgantown Farmers Market
If you join us overnight or for the weekend consider visiting the Morgantown Farmer's Market, which welcomes over 40 vendors every Saturday from 8:30am to noon from May - November.
Forks of Cheat Winery
Forks of Cheat Winery has been in business for over 20 years producing award winning wines in many different styles and has become the largest producer of wine in West Virginia. Along with the winery, in 2006 the owner opened Forks of Cheat Distillery on site and now produces several distilled items.
