Ryan’s version of how they met... the gym. Kori’s version is a little more complex... This could be considered an internet consequence or straight fate. One night Kori was doing a little late night swiping on the Tinder-Tweet and came across Ryan’s profile. She was intrigued, however, noticed that they did not "match" so she decided to further creep on Facebook. After the creep session, Kori, with nothing to lose, went ahead and sent him a friend request. (Side Note: She later found out that she was not the only "creeper." Ryan noticed her at the "gym" earlier in the day and located her on Facebook that same night.) When Ryan woke up the next morning, seeing that Kori friend-requested him, he worried that maybe Kori knew he was checking her out. He played it cool and was the first to send a message via Facebook. After some messaging, texting and a few dates, Kori + Ryan knew that the feelings they had for one another were unique and unlike anything they had every felt before. Fast forward one year; a proposal, one more year a wedding date, and the rest is a future of which they have always dreamed!

After meeting and hitting it off in the month of June 2017, Ryan + Kori decided to make their relationship official on Ryan’s 28th birthday - July 1, 2017. One-year later, Ryan popped the question! It was Ryan's Birthday weekend, and he wanted to go camping near Cheat Lake after a day on the boat to celebrate. It wasn't until the next morning that Ryan popped the question on a hike to the lookout at Cooper's Rock. That's when Kori knew they were celebrating much more! For their 1st Valentine's Day Kori made Ryan a photo album of "6" photos from each month they had been a "couple" with a reason why she loved him. At the lookout, Ryan presented Kori with the same album with "6" additional photos summing up their year! When Kori looked up from the photo album, Ryan was on one knee!! Her initial response was, “is this real life?” And shortly after reality set in, she, of course, said, "YES!"
