Morven Park International & Fall Horse Trials
Observe the ultimate challenge for horse and rider! Each spring and fall, the Morven Park International Equestrian Center hosts Horse Trials, as it has done since 1973. Competition begins with dressage, followed by show jumping, and cross-country jumping. Occurring Friday, October 11th, through Sunday, October 13th, 2024. Free for spectators: 8 am – 5 pm Check out their website to purchase Tent or Tailgating passes.
Virginia Fall Races
Witness the excitement of horse races in Virginia! Be a spectator of this Annual Fall Tradition in Middleburg Hunt Country occurring on the second Saturday of each October. Glenwood Park, where the races are held, is the oldest continuous race course in Virginia. This year’s race is scheduled to occur on Saturday, October 12th, 2024 at 12:30 pm. We recommend getting tickets in advance if you don’t want to miss out!

Birdwatching & Hiking Paths at Goodstone Inn
If you are staying at the Goodstone Inn along with the B&G, be sure to check out the hiking paths located throughout the property or take on the full 3 mile trail offering scenic views throughout. Identify birds using the binoculars and a bird watching guide conveniently included in all Goodstone Inn rooms.

Featuring artisan crafted cider using Virginia’s finest apples and award winning spirits made with homegrown herbs. Located on the Main Street in downtown Middleburg. Open everyday from 12 pm - 6 pm. Check out the affiliated Cider Barn located just outside of Downtown Middleburg (see below).
Mt. Defiance Cider Barn
A more rustic and scenic ambiance compared to the downtown location, but a bit further away. Located just outside of downtown Middleburg. Enjoy flights and classic cocktails. Food trucks are often present, but check the site schedule ahead of time to be sure. Open Tuesday - Sunday, 12 pm - 6 pm.
