Charleston International Airport (CHS) is the closest airport to Kiawah Island. From the airport, it’s an easy 45 minute drive to Kiawah Island. Many major airlines fly to Charleston daily, including Delta, Jetblue and Breeze Airways.
Transportation To/From Island:
Ubers, Rental Cars, Private Transport
Ubers are available to get from the airport to the Island, but getting an Uber from the Island back to the Airport is often unreliable. Rental Cars are a great option for getting to/from as well as around the island- there are many reputable and available rental car options at the Charleston Airport. Other options include Island Transport, Carolina's Executive, or Coastal Limo. Kiawah Island Golf Resort offers transportation options to and from the airport through the Concierge as well. Transportation While on Island
Free Shuttle Service
Those staying at a Kiawah Island Resort hotel, villa, or rental home will have access to a free on island shuttle service for transportation to many of the on island attractions, such as the beach, restaurants, and shops! Of note, this shuttle does not go to Freshfields Village.
