For the football lovers (go blue and O-H), check out the College Football Hall of Fame in downtown Atlanta. The HOF houses facts, a movie room, and activities to let you try your hand at kicking a field goal and catching a ball while diving across the field.
Also in downtown Atlanta, the Coca Cola museum overviews the entire history of the company and also has a tasting room where you can try over 200 flavors of soda from around the world!
The beltline is a walking path around Atlanta lined with restaurants, bars, and shops. Start in old fourth ward near the ladybird restaurant and walk towards New Realm brewery and take in all the sights and brews!
For those staying in Buckhead or those needing a last minute outfit change, Lenox Mall is the place for you.
Connected to midtown (12th and 14th street access), Piedmont Park boasts numerous walking paths, restaurants (Henri's and Park Tavern), as well as access to the Beltline! There is also a farmer's market starting at 9am Saturday mornings at the 12th St entrance.
While it is a monument to Confederacy leaders, Stone Mountain is a sight to behold. It depicts Confederate President Jefferson Davis and Generals Robert E. Lee and Thomas J. "Stonewall" Jackson. The sculpture was cut 42 feet deep into the mountain, measures 90 feet in height, 190 feet in width, and lies 400 feet above the ground. You can also hike (or take the tram) to the peak of the mountain.
Wolf Mountain is one of our favorite Georgia wineries to visit. Located in Dahlonega, Georgia, approximately 70 miles north of Atlanta, Wolf Mountain has a spectacular view from their deck if you have time for a day trip.
Helen, Georgia, is designed to look like a Bavarian village roughly 85 miles northeast of Atlanta. A popular town to visit, especially in October and around the holidays.
