IngleBean Cafe

This is our favorite coffee shop. We love their coffee and their breakfast sandwiches. Enjoy them next to their beautiful stone fireplace.

IngleBean Ice Cream

Right next door to IngleBean Cafe is their new ice cream shop. Their ice cream is made with milk from a local dairy operation. Our favorite flavor is the mint chip!

Green Drake Gallery & Arts Center

This gallery features beautiful work made by local artists. We love browsing their pottery, jewelry, woodworking, and lots of paintings.

Elk Creek Cafe & Aleworks

Elk Creek Cafe is a wonderful farm to table restaurant with delicious house-made beer right in Millheim. Ryan recommends the Poe Paddy Porter. They often have excellent local bands providing live music. Stop in to eat or to grab a beer.

Pisano Winery

They have lots of small batch wines available, but we especially love their cocktails and local beer offerings. They have outdoor seating around fire pits in warmer weather.

Hublersburg Inn

Great local restaurant. We especially love their brunch offerings. We had brunch here on one of our first dates.

Big Spring Spirits

"The best cocktails in the State College area" according to Grace. They make their own spirits and make delicious and inventive cocktails alongside classics. Wide variety of options and light food made in house by Nomad Kitchen. Grace's favorite drink is the Rosemarie, featuring Gin, rosemary simple syrup, lemon juice and club soda.

Good Intent Cider

Grace LOVES the ciders made at Good Intent. She recommends getting a flight to taste a few. They have beautiful outdoor seating on a stone patio, and are a short walk through the park from Big Springs Spirits and lots of shopping and antiques in downtown Bellefonte.

Poe Paddy State Park

Past Poe Valley State Park, Poe Paddy offers a wonderful trail that passes through an old train tunnel and continues along beautiful Penns Creek.

Penns Creek Trail

This is a great trail for a walk with kids and/or dogs. A crushed stone wide, flat path that crosses a bridge over Penn's Creek, continues through a cement old railroad tunnel, and then goes for miles along beautiful Penns Creek. We often see Bald Eagles, Kingfishers, and Great Blue Herons on this trail.

Penn's Cave & Wildlife Park

Just over 15 minutes from the wedding venue. A 45-50 minute fully-guided tour of the all-water cavern, given entirely by boat.
