Q&A

The Wedding Website of Camille Rabe and Rukil Patel
Question

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

Please RSVP for all events by September 22nd. Please let us know as soon as possible so we can ensure accommodations for everyone.

Question

How can I RSVP?

Answer

Please RSVP via our website and be sure to RSVP for you and your family members and/or guests who are listed for each wedding event.

Question

Can I bring additional guests or a plus 1 who is not listed in my RSVP invitation?

Answer

Unfortunately, due to budget and space limitations, we simply can’t afford for all of our lovely guests to bring a guest of their own. Therefore, we regretfully ask our guests to please not bring a plus one, unless they are specifically named on the invitation. Thank you so much for understanding!

Question

Do you have a registry?

Answer

While your generosity is so appreciated, please know that your support and love are the best gifts we could wish for! If you do wish to give us a gift, our wedding registry is the fourth tab on our website. Your presence at our wedding is gift enough, but, should you wish to give a gift as well, a cash gift to put towards our honeymoon would be greatly appreciated. Please no boxed gifts.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code is as follows: Vidhi: Indian attire or casual (please do not wear black) Catholic ceremony: Filipino traditional or formal wear (please do not wear white) Garba / Sangeet: Indian traditional or semi-formal wear (please do not wear black) Hindu ceremony: Indian traditional or semi-formal wear (please do not wear black) Reception: Formal wear (please do not wear white) Any questions, reach out to Camille or Rukil!

Question

Should I wear Indian attire?

Answer

You can wear any formal wedding attire that feels best for you! If you're interested in wearing Indian clothes, we warmly welcome it. If you want to pick one event to wear an Indian outfit to, we recommend the hindu ceremony. For women, we recommend a Lehenga (a short blouse + long skirt) or an Anarkali suit (a long dress). For the ceremony, saris are also a beautiful option, but they are much more difficult to drape and will definitely require some help. For men, we recommend a Kurta or Sherwani (fitted top + pants).

Question

Where can I purchase Indian attire?

Answer

If you are around New Jersey, check out many stores in Edison, NJ like Manyavar, Sarvoday Fashion, Maharani Fashions, Devi Fashions, and many more. Below are some online stores where you can search for outfits. If you'd like some guidance, please reach out to Camille or Rukil for additional advice. House of Indya: https://www.houseofindya.com Cbazaar: https://www.cbazaar.com/ Panash India: https://www.panashindia.com Aza Fashions: https://www.azafashions.com Utsav Fashions: https://www.utsavfashion.com

Question

Do I need to have a different outfit for each event?

Answer

Whatever you're comfortable with. It is traditional to change in between events so for example, one outfit for the Hindu ceremony and one outfit for the reception. The choice is up to you!
