A surprisingly great blog post on things to do in Portland!
Dozens of locations in the city are serving special nachos at a guaranteed $10 each
This is a beautiful Japanese garden within Washington Park. There is usually a wait, so we recommend reserving tickets online - totally worth it! While you're in the area you can also visit the rose garden and check out Powells Books.
This is one of our favorite restaurants in Portland! They have Russian food served family style with Armenian wines and infused vodkas. So fun!
This is on the list because this is where we had our first date. We both ordered dirty martinis with Aria gin and sat on the patio on a cold rainy winter night. Radio Room is a casual cocktail lounge and restaurant with a sweet little patio. Alberta is a fun street with a few other cute bars and restaurants to check out nearby.
Hawthorne St. is a fun area with a bunch of cute thrift shops, vintage stores, bars, restaurants, an arcade, and generally high quality Portland vibes.
This is a beautiful, easy hike through old growth forest that runs along the Salmon River. Lot's of beautiful greenery, big trees, and great picnic spots along the river.
If you want to get out of the city and have a way to drive up the Columbia River Gorge we highly recommend checking out Timberline Lodge. The lodge sits at the base of Mt. Hood and you can spend an entire day playing in the fields and admiring the craftsmanship of the old building. There are a couple restaurants and bars onsite.
