Alexa was 18 and living in New York City, pursuing her dance dreams at Broadway Dance Center. Travis, 23, was visiting the city with friends from Orlando. One night, they both ended up at a Midtown bar Alexa frequented. Spotting a group with Florida IDs, Alexa struck up a conversation and the two instantly hit it off. Hours slipped by in easy conversation and laughter. On the walk back to Travis’ hotel, they grabbed a late night slice of classic New York pizza, the perfect end to an unexpected night. Alexa took a cab home to her Upper West Side apartment not realizing that this chance meeting would be the start of something much bigger. They stayed in touch over the years, following each other’s lives from afar. Then in 2019 when Alexa moved back to Orlando, they reconnected...and this time, it stuck.
