Our Story
On October 16, 2020, Ross and Lindsey matched online during the COVID-19 pandemic. Their first date was virtual, but even from afar, they felt an instant connection.
After several online dates, they finally met in person on November 20th. Ross picked Lindsey up from her flight at the Kansas City airport and drove her home to Manhattan, Kansas. Just two days later, Ross asked Lindsey to be his girlfriend.
The months that followed were full of late-night calls, weekend visits, and growing love. On January 12, 2021, they said "I love you" for the first time.
They navigated long-distance until June of 2022, when Ross moved from Des Moines, Iowa, to the Twin Cities to be with Lindsey. After Lindsey graduated from nursing school, they moved in together and added a new member to their little family—a boxer puppy named Honey—in September 2023.
On June 2, 2024, Ross planned a perfect surprise and proposed to Lindsey at Indian Mounds Regional Park, surrounded by nature and the city skyline.
