FAQs

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We’d love to see our friends and family dressed to impress on our big day! Please wear cocktail attire. For women, this could be a midi or floor-length dress with heels or dressy flats. For men, dress pants with a button-down shirt are perfect—feel free to add a suit jacket and tie if you'd like. We kindly ask that you avoid jeans and t-shirts.

Question

Are there any venue rules?

Answer

Our venue does NOT allow outside alcohol to be brought in. We have licensed bartenders and an open bar to serve you as many drinks as you would like. The venue also asks that you do not bring or smoke cigarettes, vapes, or marijuana on the premises. Anyone found to be in violation of these rules may be asked to leave or return their items to their personal vehicle.

Question

Will the ceremony be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Weather permitting, the ceremony will take place outdoors to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The reception will be held indoors. Since the wedding is in early April, it may be chilly—please dress accordingly to stay comfortable.

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We are having an unplugged ceremony, which means that once the ceremony begins, we kindly ask all phones to be put away and silenced. We want everyone to be fully present with us, and for our photographer to capture the best moments, which we’ll happily share with you. Once the ceremony concludes, feel free to take as many pictures as you'd like—and don’t forget to share them with us!

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We have a block of rooms reserved at the Super 8 by Wyndham Richmond for your convenience. It's just a short 6-minute drive from our venue, The Ridge Wedding & Event Venue. Please call and mention the Fosher-Sinks Wedding on April 11th when booking to receive the discounted rate. We recommend booking early, as availability is limited. For more details and additional options, please visit the Travel tab.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes! The drinks are on us, but the hangover is on you—get ready to party! While the drinks are free, please bring cash to tip your bartenders. Due to the rural setting, rideshare options like Uber and Lyft may be limited and unreliable, especially in the evening. For your safety, we encourage coordinating carpools with other guests, driving yourself, or renting a vehicle if you’re coming from out of town. Make sure you have a safe way to get home. Please note, all vehicles parked at the venue must be picked up by 10:00 AM the following morning.

Question

Are children welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only celebration unless otherwise specified. We hope this allows everyone to relax and enjoy the evening, and we truly appreciate your understanding.
