Bridesmaid
Friends for life, now and forever. Julia and Amelia met at the age of 10 and have been best friends ever since. They grew up together playing handball (European handball) and were quite the little busungar on the weekends… egging houses on weekends and driving mopeds across town at the age of 15 (glad we finally grew up!) Now she’s left GBG to bless the capitol city with her presence. She’s reliable and dependable. In fact, it was Amelia that Evan entrusted to help him plan two surprises… his first visit to Sweden to surprise an unsuspecting Julia in a café, and the marriage proposal. Amelia helped Evan find Julia’s correct ring size!

Nice guy, a best friend, handsome devil, sub-standard golfer. All adjectives that perfectly describe one of the greatest all-around people we know. Alex and Evan go back to the Grandview Gator days. They met when Alex joined the soccer team that Evan’s dad Ray was coaching. Whether it was throwing grapes at cars, bombing hills on skateboards or running amok around the streets of Manhattan Beach, Evan and Alex always found fun in a bit of mischief.
Bridesmaid
A true athlete and a natural role model. Julia’s parents often quipped “Julia you need to learn to run like Emma. She has such good posture and holds her head up high!” Marathon - too easy. Crossfit - everyday bro. Start her own business - without breaking a sweat. Bridesmaid - duh! But just because she’s a superhero, doesn’t mean it’s all work and no play. She used to throw the most fun parties at her parents house when we were teenagers (sorry Janne & Gunilla). We grew up together and will walk through life together. <3

Drew AKA Big Andy, AKA DJ ShortDawg, AKA Silicon Beach guy. Evan and Andy became close in high school, and backpacked Europe together the summer following senior year. In Isla Vista, while nurturing his fledgling career as a French Technohouse DJ, Andy and Evan became even closer. Andy is always up for a good laugh and an IPA. He tends to find himself in peculiar situations, like that time he had a panic attack on a ferris wheel at a music festival, and is sure to bring the party to the wedding. Who knows, he may even play a guest DJ set for all the wedding guests.

No party is complete without Frida! We’re excited to have her energy to spice up the wedding. Julia and Frida met in high school and clicked instantly. As one of the main members of Julia’s girlfriend group, they share memories from party trips to Greece, Justin Beiber concert circa 2013, and numerous all-nighters after some wild nights on Avenyn. As a fearless world traveler with years of wisdom from her experiences, Frida is the best friend that’s there to pick you up when you’re feeling low.

They say you never really know someone until you spend time traveling with them. Well, after spending 6 months together on the trip of a lifetime—backpacking through southeast Asia for 6 months—Evan is happy to have gotten to know the real Erick: one of the most polite, considerate and generous people out there! Evan and Erick share enough adventure stories to fill a novel rivaling Robinson Crusoe. Whether it was searching for untouched surf on far-flung Indonesian islands, or traversing the entire length of Vietnam by motorcycle, these are memories that solidified a friendship sure to endure for a lifetime. Erick’s also known for his groovy dance moves, we’re excited to see him cut up the rug on the dancefloor!

Hanna and Julia met in high school and have been friends ever since. Hanna was (and still is) the positive friend who always looks at life from the good side, and doesn’t let an obstacle set her back. Hanna is not only one of Julia’s most positive friends, but also one of the smartest. Julia would always ask Hanna for help in school (thanks for helping Julia pass math class!). Hanna graduated with a masters degree and is now killing it in the fashion industry in Sweden’s beautiful capital. Julia is honored to have such a kind and caring person as her bridesmaid.

Ever the extrovert, Jesse was the first guy Evan met in Sweden, when Jesse approached Evan with a “g’day mate” at the shopping mall. Since that chance meeting, Evan and Jesse have grown into mates for life. In just a few short years, they’ve made countless memories, spending weekends camping, skiing and going to music festivals. Evan considers Jesse like a little brother, and let’s him know it by sometimes taking the piss out of him, in a loving way of course. When not complaining about the Swedish weather, this stylish Aussie can be found crushing opponents on the padel court and making friends laugh with his funny interpretations of life.

From 1OAK to Vegas to Mykonos to Stureplan, Linnéa has earned her reputation as one of LA/Stockholm’s most recognizable socialites. hihi. It was Linnéa that dragged Julia out to Canal Club on the night that Evan and Julia met in Venice Beach for the first time. As former roommates on Abbot Kinney, they’ve been through thick and thin together. Linnéa was always there for Julia when she needed her the most. Not only is she funny, adventurous and energetic, she’s also the kind soul every friend needs.

Former Santa Monica housemate, music festival bestie and another high school homie from Manhattan Beach. As Evan’s most dependable wingman in the golden days of west side LA lifestyle, he was there at Canal Club the night Evan and Julia met. Evan and Kaveh share a unique love of eclectic music and situational humour. From sleeping in his prius after a night of partying with Skrillex at Coachella, to some very crazy weekends in Las Gaviotas, the stories and memories they share are countless. Warning: do not let Kaveh drive your rental car in Mallorca, he may crash into a fire hydrant.

A chance meeting led Julia to a deep friendship with this beautiful and wise soul. They were strangers when they first met as classmates in Los Angeles, only to discover they were both coincidentally from Gothenburg. Not only is Sara a great advice giver and a good listener, but she’s also an inspiring mother, someone Julia and Evan look up to when it comes to being a wonderful parent. But before her days were full of taking care of her daughter, Sara was Julia’s partner-in-crime in California, where they had many adventures with each other. Here’s to many more to come!

When you’re in a bind, or need a friend to talk to for important advice, Matt is usually the first person you call... a true sign of a caring and best friend. Matt always puts other people ahead of himself. Evan and Matt go way back, from high school house parties, to Coachella 2010, to college roommates and beyond. But don’t let his chivalry, good looks and altruistic demeanor fool you… he also knows how to party. Just ask him about the time he jumped out the window of a moving limousine on prom night.

Ever the wine connoisseur (with plenty of Insta pics to prove it!), Tilda is a must at any good party. It goes without saying she’ll be helping us lift the fashion standards of the wedding. This stylish wonder woman is not only one of Julia’s best friends, but also one of Evan’s coworkers. Single boys beware! Many a good man have fallen for her charm and bubbly personality. Don’t be surprised if she is the one leading the party and requests that you get up and dance. When the wedding is coming to an end, she’ll also be the one to confer with on the arrangements for the after party.

It’s rare to meet someone without a single bad bone in their body, but Michael is one of those guys! Always putting others ahead of himself, Michael is known among his friends as a chivalrous gentleman. Evan owes a lot to Michael; it was this Aussie transplant that showed Evan the ropes of living in Sweden. Since then, they’ve forged many memories, like sailing the Greek Isles and surfing in Portugal. Don’t be surprised if Michael tells you a dad joke or ten, or shows you a funny cat video he found on YouTube, his humour is one of his greatest traits. Michael is a top bloke, a guy you can count on, and that’s why Evan is thrilled to have him not only as a groomsman, but as a friend for life.

Known for her energetic and outgoing personality, Åsa has a constant smile on her face. Navigating the ups and downs of the teenage years together, Julia and Åsa have been great friends since high school. Always up for an adventure, Åsa was Julia’s travel partner in Rhodes and Kos, and more recently, in Ibiza with Evan and Andrew. She’s fearless and independent, moving to New Zealand at the age of 19 to work as an au pair on a gap year. Life then led her to Australia and a bachelor's degree. Now she’s a marketing pro and taking over Sydney! But there are many more adventures around the corner. Solomun at Pacha round 2?

Where to begin? Tommy and Evan go way back! The Beckers are not only the coolest Manhattan Beach clan, but they’re like a second family to Evan. It seems like half of Evan’s childhood memories somehow involve the Becker residence on Pacific Avenue. In Middle School, Evan and Tommy spent seemingly endless summer days skateboarding between their favorite MB haunts: the Bakery, Ninth Street volleyball courts, the Marriott Golf Course and many more. Circa 2016 they were housemates in Santa Monica, where they reveled in everything the West Side had to offer. Evan has made memories with Tommy in Palm Springs, Chicago and New York, and is excited to add Mallorca to that list. Watch out, did we mention this guy can dance?!
Officiant
Although Evan and Julia met Fredrik several years ago in LA, they have only really been close friends for about two years, after spending a week sailing Greece together. But time does not matter when it comes to friendships, it’s the values that count. When Evan and Julia began looking for a spiritual, funny and genuine officiant, it was Fredrik that first popped in their mind. He’s a passionate conversator and philosopher, whose outlook on life evokes characteristics of a guru like the Dalai Lama. Afterall, he did wear a man skirt for the duration of the Greece trip. Who better a person to share words on love, eternity and happiness as Evan and Julia say their vows... <3

The most soft spoken and second-most athletic (after Evan) of the Thomas Brothers, Oliver is famous for his “go with the flow” attitude. In fact, he was so quiet as a kid, he was even accidentally left behind on a family road trip, like Kevin in Home Alone. Always putting sports before anything else, Oats is a formidable force on the basketball court and soccer pitch, but not the golf course, unfortunately. Oliver was always the baby in the family that seemed to get away with anything, like eating candy for dinner. He didn’t always have the best of luck, like having to wear Evan and Quentin’s hand-me-downs, which makes it so much more impressive that he’s grown into a successful and driven young man. Evan is very proud of him, and can’t wait to explore Mallorca with him.

Look up “sibling rivalry” in the dictionary and you’ll see a picture of a young Evan and Quentin. When they were children growing up on 36th street, Evan and Quentin formed and led two competing factions of neighborhood kids, engaging in territorial battles of the Sand Dune forest, like something out of The Lord of the Flies. Quentin’s superior surfing always seemed to irk Evan, so much so that Evan sabotaged Quentin’s surfboard with a screwdriver. Quentin retaliated by hurling a heavy stick at Evan’s head, leaving him concussed. They eventually grew out of it, and were roommates in Isla Vista. These days, they have a blast surfing together, even if Quentin is guaranteed to drop-in on Evan at least three times a session.
