Take a stroll
Start at El Jardin, San Miguel’s main plaza, and spend some time people-watching, exploring stores, and stopping by restaurants. When exploring the winding streets, you can always use the Parroquia de San Miguel Arcangel as a point of reference.
Mercado de Artesanías (Artisan market)
This long corrider is filled with locally made art, jewelry, decor, and goodies that allow you to take a piece of San Miguel home with you.
Instituto Allende
Instituto Allende is one of the country's oldest art academies. Stop by this historic landmark to see a collection of impressive murals and enjoy a great view of the city.
Santuario de Atotonilco (Sanctuary of Atotonilco)
The Sanctuary of Atotonilco is a church complex and a World Heritage Site with spectacular religious murals. This complex is 15 minutes from San Miguel.
Benito Juárez Park
Parque Juárez is one of the greenest spots in San Miguel. You'll find stone fountains and wild, tropical gardens in this beloved urban park.
Fábrica la Aurora
La Aurora was once one of Mexico's largest textile factories. Today it has more than 35 studios, galleries, and design shops as well as a bookstore, restaurants, and a café.
Charco Del Ingenio
This unique botanical garden is located along the ridge of a canyon overlooking the city center. It hosts a collection of cacti and other indigenous flora.
Luna Rooftop
This is by far on one of our favorite rooftops in the city. Come here during the sunset for an incredible view of San Miguel.
La Azotea
For a more casual rooftop, visit Azotea to see the sunset.
Quince Rooftop
Right around the corner from "La Parroquia", this rooftop offers a great cocktail selection.

The menu is international with an emphasis on fresh, seasonal, and local ingredients. If you'd like to treat yourself, try the tasting menus with the wine pairings.
La Colmena Panaderia
La Colmena is a wonderful Mexican bakery just off the main square. Every day, this bakery's ovens turns out an outstanding variety of traditional "pan dulce" (sweet bread). If you haven't tried Mexican sweet bread, "conchas" are a classic introduction.

Chef Enrique Olvera's restaurant focuses on high-concept food. He serves traditional Mexican dishes with the latest techniques and cosmopolitan concepts, creating a menu with a Mexican soul and an international palate.
