Rosa and Michael found love in the most unlikely of places – Duke University. Their first date was a “$5 Prom”-themed sorority function. Their second date involved a $12 bottle of sparkling wine and karaoke. These weren't exactly the dazzling nights Rosa dreamt of having with her future husband, yet she saw something beneath Michael's chubby frat-boy physique and questionable choice of dates. And three years of long-distance dating (and a combined four jobs later), the two are still hooked on each other and can't wait to celebrate their next chapter with you in 2018!

For Michael, the most nerve-racking moment of 2017 wasn’t his first year of law school – it was his proposal to Rosa. It began with a terrifying phone call to Rosa’s father asking for permission to marry his daughter (he gave his blessing, thank goodness). Then there was the week leading up to the proposal during which Rosa fell ill with norovirus. Finally, there was the proposal itself, when Rosa was so overjoyed by all of the excitement that she almost forgot to say "Yes!". But it's the hiccups that made the night even more special, and it all ended perfectly with the newly engaged couple celebrating with friends and family at a surprise party in the East Village.
