To make getting to the ceremony easy, complimentary shuttle service will be provided from the Ballard neighborhood to Golden Gardens. Please meet in front of Skål Beer Hall Arrival Time: 5:40 PM Once everyone has arrived, our event planner will guide the group together to the nearby shuttle loading location on NW Market Street. The shuttle will depart promptly at 6:00 PM to ensure everyone arrives at Golden Gardens with plenty of time before the ceremony begins. After the ceremony, the shuttle will return guests to Skål, where our reception will begin. If you miss the shuttle, you are welcome to drive directly to Golden Gardens. Please allow extra time for parking and the short walk to the ceremony site. Parking Skål does not have a dedicated parking lot. We recommend arriving a little early to allow time to park before meeting the group. A list of recommended nearby parking garages and public parking lots can be found in our FAQ section.
6:30 pm - 7:15 pm
Scandinavian inspired festive wear. The ceremony will be held outdoors on grass, so we recommend comfortable footwear.
During the ceremony, we will take part in a traditional Scandinavian handfasting ritual, where our hands are bound together to symbolize our commitment. Guests will be seated in a semicircle surrounding the altar, representing the community that surrounds and supports our relationship. Restrooms are available near the ceremony site at the Golden Gardens bathhouse. We recommend using the facilities before the ceremony begins.
7:30 pm - 7:45 pm
The shuttle will depart promptly at 7:45 PM for Skål Beer Hall. Guests are welcome to enjoy a few moments after the ceremony before boarding. If you prefer, you are also welcome to drive directly to the reception.
8:00 pm - 10:30 pm
Join us for a Scandinavian-inspired feast featuring family-style meats, salmon, seasonal sides, and other Nordic specialties. Beer, mead, and wine will be hosted. Vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options will be available. Cocktails and additional spirits will be available for purchase at the bar.
