Matron of Honor
Carey is my whole sister and forever friend. I've treasured our time living together in both Chicago and Los Angeles. She was the reason I moved to LA. So, if it wasn't for Carey, I would never have met James. In fact, she was there when I did! I'm lucky to have her in my life and blessed to have her by my side on our special day.
Bridesmaid
Mine and I met our junior year of high school, became good friends senior year and our hearts have been inseparable ever since. No matter the distance or the amount of time apart we always seem to pick up right where we left off. Her friendship means the world to me.
Bridesmaid
Jennifer is James' amazing sister! We visited her and her husband Christian this past Thanksgiving in NYC after I had met them years earlier. I was so happy to spend some real time together and get to know her better. I'm so excited for her to be my sister-in-law!!!
Bridesmaid
We became BFF's our junior year of high school and I even got my senior photos taken with Alyson! We reconnected when I moved back home and instantly got back into BFF mode! We often get mistaken for sisters because of our looks and I am also close with her beautiful family.
Bridesmaid
Candace is the wife of my cousin Ben. When I was living in Fort Wayne they would have me babysit and we would always end up talking a lot and bonding over many things. Candace is not only family, she became my friend and I am excited that she will be representing my birth family in this bridal party!
Bridesmaid
Courtney and I went to middle school and high school together. We both played on the basketball team for Holy Cross middle school! Later on we became friends on Facebook and as soon as I moved home Courtney swooped me up and included me in her large group of friends! After all of these years of knowing her we are as close as we've ever been and I am happy to call her my good friend!
Best Man
It isn’t too often you’ll find friendships that go back to the 2nd grade but that was when I first met Andrew. I like to think we were both ahead of our time wearing glasses and already knowing the value of a good joke. In some ways we’ve taken very different paths in life but I am grateful that through all of the twists and turns I’ve been able to count on Drew for support, advice, and sometimes a humbling reality check. I am honored to have my oldest, dearest friend by my side on the big day.
Groomsman
If there is another man who better sports a bald head, I have yet to meet him. Another “Old Skool” friend, Wilson and I forged our friendship in our 20’s over lackluster rounds of golf, countless pints of beer, and even some eventful sales calls. In many ways Wilson represents all the hometown friends with whom I’ve shared many adventures. I am lucky to have a friend like Wil who can make a guy feel right at home no matter how much time has passed.
Groomsman
My sister has always been the smart one and when she introduced us to her then boyfriend Christian, we knew he’d probably fit right in to our family. He is one of the most worldly and compassionate people I know and I don’t view that combination is a coincidence. When visiting them in New York I always look forward to the lively conversations with Chris over delicious food and drink. I’m very lucky to have a brother-In-law like Christian and I’m excited that he’ll be a part of all this.
Groomsman
On both sides of my family I was blessed with a healthy number of cousins and like a lot of families, my cousins ended up being my first friends. As adults, Jerry and I got to hang out more often when he lived in LA and during a cross-country road trip to NY our bond was cemented. Although he is the youngest, Jerry has led by example and taught me much about the value of family. It’s fitting that he’ll play a big role on this special day representing all of my beloved cousins.
Groomsman
A mutual love for baseball and a Spring Training tradition has helped grow my friendship with Wes over the years and since we’ve both worked in the turbulent night life industry, we also maintain a certain camaraderie. Wes is the type of friend who’s always quick with a laugh and easily converts strangers into friends with his hilarious anecdotes. He is one of the most inclusive, fun-loving people I know and simply put, it wouldn’t be a party without my good buddy Wes.
Groomsman
Since moving to L.A. “proper” I’ve gotten to befriend some really great people who took the plunge and moved here from much further away. Andy is one of those friends. A long time transplant from Wisconsin, he’s soaked up L.A. and made it his own. On one hand he’s that savvy guy who knows how to skip the line at a Hollywood gala, but he’s also that down-to-earth pal that Katherine and I can catch the big game with at our local bar. I appreciate his friendship and happy that he’ll be joining in the celebration.
Flower Girl
Nora is the daughter of my bridesmaid Alyson. She is Miss Personality and it's always a joy being around her. She calls me "Kee Kee" and we've had many fun adventures at the zoo together. She is a super fan of my gloves and even wore them to school once. I'm so glad she's going to be throwing petals for me on my big day!
Flower Girl
Elle is the daughter of my cousin Ben and my bridesmaid Candace. Elle and I created a special bond over the two years I was back home. We love hanging out and making crafts together. It makes me so happy to have her as my flower girl!
Bling Girl
Iliana is the daughter of my bridesmaid Alyson. It's been a pleasure watching Iliana go from being a little girl to a young lady in the time I was living back at home. She is more like a niece to me than just my friend's daughter and she is a wonderful big sister to her younger siblings. Happy to have her be my Bling Girl at our ceremony!
Ring Bearer
Sweet Axel is the son of my bridesmaid Alyson. I wasn't living in Fort Wayne during Alyson's other pregnancies but I was so glad I was there for her pregnancy with Axel. I was honored to be there right after she gave birth and was even there for the special moment when Nora and Iliana got to see him for the first time. The goal is to get him down the aisle as my Ring Bearer with the help of his sister Iliana so we'll see how that goes! It's going to be a great day!
Officiant
Ally is the man who stole my sister's heart and swept her from our adorable house in Venice, CA to London. Well, technically it was for work but he picked her up from the airport and she was already in love. I figured anyone who can make my sister twirl around is someone pretty special. Luckily they are in Chicago now so I get to see them a little more often. He's a perfect match for my sister and I couldn't ask for a better brother-in-law. I'm glad he's going to be a part of my life for the rest of my life. I'm honored that he's going to officiate the beginning of my happily ever after.
Usher
My brother from another mother (and father). Our family is quite complex and we only share a sister but he is just simply my brother. I am so proud of James, who is an Army vet and spent time overseas. Carey and I were able to visit him at Fort Hood before he left for Iraq. I was so glad we were able to do that. Thankful he made it back safe and is now married to my amazing sister-in-law Anne and thanks to her, I know I don't have to worry about him anymore!
Usher
One of the ultimate highlights of my life was finding out that I had 4 brothers and Jadon is the youngest of them. He is absolutely hilarious, brilliant, has killer dance moves and is a talented actor. Jadon has been a good sport over the years by posing for me and letting me make paintings of him. He's been in 4 of them to be exact. He continues to be a good sport by being an usher for my wedding and I am so happy to have him be a part of it!
