Sofia is my very best friend and biggest confidant! From sorority sisters to coworkers, she has been with me every step of the way and I know she always will be. I knew she would be the perfect person to be by my side on my wedding day, but finding out that she had such a heavy hand in helping plan our engagement sealed the deal! She wants nothing more than to see me happy and made sure it was everything I wanted and more, down to taking all of the pictures on the big day! She is the most honest, trustworthy, and kind person I know and I’m so excited to have such a supportive and strong person to help me through the planning process of my wedding!

Katie is my sister and I could not have been blessed with a better one! She has always been a little sister, a friend, and a mentor to me all wrapped up into one. She has seen me at my highest and lowest and has always welcomed Sammy with open arms. She has the most beautiful heart and passion for others. She is always open to provide guidance and support in all aspects of life, and her loving relationship is one I always looked up to, so she’s always been one I went to for advice. She has been present for all of the biggest moments of my life, and I’m so thankful she’ll be there for this one!

Maddie is my “little” sorority sister! She is strong-willed, kind-hearted, and a true leader! I wanted to be her “big” so that I could teach her the ropes of sorority life, but in turn she taught me so much about what it means to be a true friend and sister, and for that I am so very thankful! She’s always called Sam and I “mom and dad” and is always there for us when we need her.

Taylor is the big sister I never knew I needed. She’s been a sorority sister, a math tutor, and a trusted ally when I need support. I always know she’s just a phone call away and she’s the first person I call when I need guidance or even just to catch up and spill all of life’s little details. I want so badly to make her proud and she always makes me feel like I have with my life choices. She is truly someone I look up to, with her intelligence, wisdom, and kindness.

Nadia likes to say we’ve been friends since Kindergarten, but she didn’t remember we went to elementary school together until I reminded her after we were sorority sisters. Either way, this friendship has felt like one that we’ve truly had all our lives! She is so easy to talk to, so generous, and so fun to be around! She loves so hard and is truly the biggest cheerleader for all of her friends, and I can’t wait for her to bring that energy to my wedding day!

A.J. and I have been friends since the middle school talent show days, and he never let our friendship dull when I went off to college. He checks in on me constantly, and when we make plans we always pick up right where we left off. He listens, loves, and provides help to ANYONE who needs it and has always been such a great friend. He was my prom date and has always been my favorite man in my life, but he has also been so supportive of Sam and I since the day we met and he makes it so known how deeply he loves us both.

Molly was one of the very first friends I made in college and has been by my side as a trusted sister, confidant, and supporter ever since. We lived together for two years and were inseparable almost the entire time. From work study to sorority meetings, we were together almost all day, every day, and people were constantly confusing us. Molly comes off as timid and quiet, but she is always listening, nurturing, and showing how deeply she cares for her friends!

Layne is the life of the party and a true light in the darkness! She is such a joy to be around and can uplift anyone just by smiling at them and being around them. She is a genuine hype woman and it is impossible not to feel confident with someone like her to bring you up when you’re down. She has such a kind heart and a desire to make others feel beautiful, loved, and empowered. She’s the type of friend everyone deserves.

Sarah is Sam’s older sister and has welcomed me as a member of their family from day one. As a fellow teacher, she has acted as a mentor to me since I began student teaching and has never hesitated to listen, answer my questions, or support me. She is the kind of person everyone hopes they can find to lean on, in so many ways!

Garrett is the closest and best friend I have ever had in my adult life. He has always been there for me, even in the early days, when we weren’t as close. We met during our freshman year of college, and our friendship only grew from there. We eventually became roommates our senior year, which led to Mary and Garrett’s girlfriend, Sofia, becoming best friends. In the time since then, Garrett and I have only gotten closer. I cannot imagine anyone else standing next to me on the day of my wedding than Garrett.

Since the moment I started college, Jacob has been one of my closest friends. We were fraternity brothers at CBU and eventually roommates, after graduation. He has always given me such great advice, whether it involved TKE, mine and Mary’s relationship, or life in general. We’ve had a ton of great times together, from our trip out to our friend’s catfish farm, to Jacob’s Bachelor party last year.

Willie is my younger brother, and was truly the first guy friend I ever had (albeit he was a built in friend). Although we’ve had our ups and downs, I know that he will always be there for me and vice versa. I couldn’t imagine having anyone else be my brother and I am so happy that he is in my life. I can’t wait for him to be there for me on mine and Mary’s big day.

Connor was one of the most meaningful friendships I made in my fraternity experience. He helped me through pledging and never hesitated to act as a big brother to me. After this experience brought us so close together, I was lucky enough to live with Connor and two of my other groomsmen, Garrett and Brennan. Connor has always been such a helpful and supportive person in my life, and has been there for me since the moment I got to Memphis.

Peter was one of the first people I met in college and one of the first close friends I had. Peter has been a lot of things to me, from classmate to friends to fraternity brothers, and I’m so glad I can now call him one of my best friends and groomsmen. He is one of the most caring people I know and has always looked out for Mary and me, both as individuals and as a couple.

Mickey is the friend I can always turn to when I need to have a good time with no worries or drama. He is my go-to video game guy, and I’m lucky to have a friend like him to make life so enjoyable. Mickey is one of the goofiest people I know and has always been about to make anyone laugh when he’s around.

Lane was probably the first friend I ever had at CBU. We met at freshman orientation and have been close friends ever since. As cynical as he can be, he has always gone out of his way to be one of the best friends I’ve ever had. No matter the circumstances, I know that he would drop anything to help me in a time of need.

Brennan was one of the first friends I made when I got to college. He is such a care-free, fun-loving individual and can make any event instantly become a good time, just by being there. This easy-going attitude is part of what makes every memory together so great. I can always count on Brennan to be there to talk about anything that’s weighing on my mind (especially about sports).

I met Chris when he first started working at my dad’s service station. I was happy when he began dating my sister and am so lucky to now have him as a brother-in-law, and a wonderful husband to Sarah. Since they’ve been married, we’ve only grown closer. Chris is Mary’s cousin and we are so excited to have him helping out at our wedding! Chris’s brother and my sister are only 2 weeks apart in age, so when we were younger they got along really well and I always felt a little disconnected. When Christopher was born, it felt like our group of cousins had evened out and the four of us were inseparable for so long, playing in Noni’s backyard and trying to keep the mosquitos away!

Matt is Mary’s cousin and, quite honestly, the life of the party. Until his brother was born, Matt was the only first cousin my sister and I had around. We went to elementary school together, did swimming lessons together, and were always such a tight-knit family! We’re so thankful to have him be a part of our wedding!

Cody and I became friends our freshman year at CBU, during our second semester while I was pledging for TKE. Our time in TKE made our friendship even stronger. Cody has always been a great friend to both Mary and myself and is someone I can count on if I ever need anything. I’m very thankful to have him as a friend!

I first met Matt at CBU orientation, when I was his Orientation Leader and he was an incoming freshman visiting the school. From there, we became friends! Once the next school year came around, we were hanging out quite a bit and became closer friends, especially after he joined TKE that fall. We were both the social chair of TKE during undergrad so we were able to bond over that too. If I ever need a good laugh I know I can count on him to provide it.
