6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Casual attire, warm layers recommended. Evening temperatures can range from 40 to 60 this time of year.
9/16/25 UPDATE: We learned that the HOA no longer allows fires in the fire pit. We will have a couple of propane fire pits instead so we can still roast marshmallows, but be sure to dress warmly. We're also moving the time frame up a little as a result. Please join us for an after-dinner evening of yard games, music, and stories around the campfire. We'll gather by the firepit next to the pond near the Cascade Village entrance. Light snacks, beverages, and s'mores fixins will be provided. And for locals, feel free to bring your camp chairs and your instruments!
3:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Semi-formal attire. Wear whatever makes you feel elegant and elven for our enchanted forest experience. Afternoon temperatures can range from 50 to 70 this time of year, so sunscreen is recommended and a light jacket or shawl might come in handy. Also make sure your attire will allow for dancing your heart out later!
Please arrive between 2:30-3:00 to allow time for parking and getting to the Meadow. There will be the opportunity to spend a few moments at our welcome tent taking part in brief arrival rituals to help you drop in to the sacred experience. We anticipate the ceremony will begin at 3:30. Public parking is a short (approximately 5-minute) walk along a road to the Meadow Ceremony site. Shuttle service from the Main Lodge to the Meadow will be arranged for those with limited mobility. Restrooms are available inside the Main Lodge.
4:00 pm - 5:30 pm
We will be celebrating our union with a short contra dance immediately following the ceremony, at the pond and picnic area near the Main Lodge. The Fractal String Band will play lively music and caller Deb Comly will provide a brief teaching session for the first 15 minutes, followed by 30-45 minutes of dancing. No dance experience needed. Fun and laughter guaranteed! Light appetizers will be served and picnic tables will be available. And it's super fun to watch Contra dancing if you're not taking part. You might be wondering, what the heck is Contra dancing? Semi-formal attire. Wear whatever makes you feel elegant & elven for our enchanted forest experience. And make sure it allows for getting down on the dance floor!
The setting: indoor reception on the second floor of the Main Lodge. An elevator is available if a short flight of stairs are an obstacle. The food & drink: a tantalizing Indonesian meal prepared by Chef Jake Thompson of Global Kitchen. The entire menu will be gluten and dairy free. We are happy to accommodate any additional dietary restrictions as well. Beverages will include mocktails to honor Drew and Eric's alcohol-free lifestyle, coffee and tea, and beer and wine. The flow: dinner will be kicked off with toasts, followed by special dances, and then we hope you will join us on the dance floor getting down to music for the soul mixed by local human sunbeam DJ Noonz. Feel free to drop any song requests below! A photo booth will also be available to capture the magic.
