Although we greatly appreciate any wedding gifts, we would like to emphasize that we would much rather you spend your money on coming to our wedding than on gifts. We know that attending our wedding will require planning, travel, and money on your part and this is what we would prefer you put your resources toward.
If you can not attend the wedding, please DO NOT feel obligated to purchase a gift. Someone told me that this is supposedly the social standard for weddings and we just want everyone to know that we do not adhere to this wedding injustice.
