YOU MUST MAKE A VEHICLE RESERVATION Reservations Open Tuesday April 15th at 10 am PST Reservation Site: https://secureapps.wsdot.wa.gov/Ferries/Reservations/Vehicle/SailingSchedule.aspx?VRSTermId=1&cookieCheck=true Spaces for vehicles are limited on the ferry and you will need a reservation for your vehicle so please do this asap. Please do not procrastinate on this!! If you are not able to get a reservation in this initial wave there will be later times in which they open more spots see schedule here: https://secureapps.wsdot.wa.gov/Ferries/Reservations/Vehicle/default.aspx ----- Once you have the vehicle reservation you can then later purchase the ticket online or when you arrive at the ferry terminal. Note: A vehicle ticket will cover the vehicle & driver. If you have other people in the vehicle you will need to purchase separate passenger tickets online or at the ferry terminal when you arrive. Children and youth under the age of 19 travel free as passengers if they are not the driver of a vehicle. Seniors aged 65 and over, as well as individuals with disabilities, are eligible for reduced passenger fares when they present proof of eligibility. For Emma & Devin's wedding Saturday July 12th you will need to purchase a ferry ticket to get to the wedding venue which is located on Orcas Island, WA. If you are traveling without a vehicle you can purchase a ticket online or when you get to the ferry terminal. It's important to know that Orcas Island is small and does not offer services like Uber and the wedding venue is a 30 min drive from the ferry terminal. Ferry Schedule: https://wsdot.com/ferries/schedule/scheduledetailbyroute.aspx?route=ana-sj Please let us know if you have any questions. If you still have not been able to obtain a ferry ticket as the wedding date gets closer, we will figure out other arrangements. I know this whole ferry thing is kind of a pain but the island is so beautiful I think it will be worth it!
Travel Note
Orcas is a VERY POPULAR spot to visit during the summer. If you are attending, PLEASE BOOK YOUR ACCOMMODATIONS ASAP! There are Air BnB's, B&B, hotel and VRBO options. You are also welcome to camp at the venue! There are bathrooms at the venue but no showers. We're trying to set up a hotel block. If you are interested in that please text (559) 972-7675
Travel Note
Unfortunately, there is no Uber or Lyft on the island, but there is a taxi service. If you would rather stay on the mainland and take the ferry on foot, you can arrange to have a taxi pick you up from the ferry station and drive you to the wedding venue and vice versa. This is also an option for those of you who do not want to worry about driving back to your accommodations at the end of the night. Reservations are recommended but not required. I've heard good things about the taxi service from the locals when I visited the island earlier this year.
