we're getting married!

It all started in 2016—Madison played college basketball, and Sam was the student athletic trainer. Naturally, Madison had to pretend to get injured just to spend more time with Sam (kidding… mostly). They instantly clicked over their shared love of food, travel, hiking, dogs, and sports, which led to Sam inviting Madison to Thailand in 2018. That trip turned into an adventure across 16 countries, and somehow, they never argued—except for the occasional moment when Madison was a little grumpy in the morning (Sam survived, somehow). Back in the U.S., they stayed best friends, but in 2020, they thought, "Why not give this dating thing a try?" On June 22nd, 2023, Sam popped the question during a beautiful hike in Crested Butte. Once again, Madison was grumpy—but that’s a story for another time. And here they are—still traveling, still laughing, and about to get married! From the courts to the trails, across time zones and continents, their adventure has only just begun. Here's to a lifetime of travels, hikes, Posey cuddles, and, most of all, love—because the best journeys are the ones taken together.
